1) int eighty and c64 are... Dual Core.
Actually they are just two guys. int eighty is a programmer in Cincinnati, Ohio; and c64 is a graphic designer in Greater Manchester, England. They originally met several years ago on an underground hip hop website. "His beats made me want to rap, and he quickly became one of my favorite producers," recalls eighty in regards to c64's production.
In the spring of 2007, Dual Core released their first album entitled Zero One. Zero One featured the single Hostage Down, a fun song about the game Counter-Strike. The up-tempo instruments and rhythm, combined with the amusing punchlines and catchy chorus, made the song an immediate hit. It is currently being distributed to college and online radio stations for further play.
Released in 2009, Dual Core's album Next Level added to the duo's greatest hits with top tracks such as I Remember, and Forever. Afterwards, in 2012, their most recent album was released titled All the Things which has gained a lot of popularity over the past few months.

Dual Core is comprised of two nuclear fission reactors who go by the name of Adi Milner and Eran Ben Gaon. Both artists have had successful solo careers, recording and performing around the world as Backspace (that's Adi) and Point that's Eran.
As the saying goes'two heads are better than one' and so they decided to pool their talents and become 'as One'...a Dual Coretwice as potent!
What we can say with certainty is that these two fellows share the common aim to stimulate the senses, to enliven the mind, and to free up the body with music that is fiery, hot and explosive on the dance-floor.

Dual Core Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
They call us Dual Core 'cause we got twice as much cache/cash
My freestyle is fast, and the synapses fry
Go to war with the flames like emacs and vi
Push through the summer for the winter green
Won't stand for delays like the Vista team
Microeconomics keep the cash flow typical
That's minimally visible to the astrophysical
That's tougher than clusters of OpenMosix
Execute kiddies who know they can't hang
Change mode plus x and start with a shebang
Here's the process sir/processor, I don't mean to be over the top
I burn you when my internal speed is overclocked
My kernel is 2.6.19, my appearance is quite clean
I just gotta choose the right theme
The light's green which means I got a connection
Flows move through the air like wireless reception
You can't capture what this kid spits with Kismet
Each packet I send is encrypted with trip-DES
And I'll keep flowing til the light goes off
You get a virus-cough, you kids are Microsoft
And I'm hard like OpenBSD internals
Excuse me, I need to make a call to the kernel
Tapped the NSA and listened to two calls
My blue box left AT&T with blue balls
Iced the cold calls telemarketers scared of me
Disconnect signals. Reverse the polarity
Beat boxing melodies with twice as much energy
Y'all suck at double ups like rambus memory
Cipher inside, make it ISO compliant
Lying to ident while hiding disguises
Fiber and wires, retire the science
Broadcasting silence with a pirated license
Stand in defiance to triumph goliaths
Tyrants with sirens burying iron giants
It's Remy, these other kids try to compete
No hub-bub, but I still collide with the beat
Everybody's like: Damn that kid rhyming is nice
I'm like: Damn how'd my browser turn from fire to ice
From a Fox to a Weasel, what I drop is lethal
Injecting your database with a shot of SQL
This is not a sequel, you scream give me more
I'm old school like Coleco or Commodore 64
Remy spits the raw, you script kiddies are lame
Call me the WOPR, now shall we play a game
No one can stop it, not even Matthew Broderick
This war game will end up atomic
It's evident the revolution is OS
I spit every 4 bits you can call my flow hex
This is no trick, I mean it's not-a-con
My flow is much faster than the cycles in Tron
I get a SYN from the beat, I have to respond
I send an ACK for my rap, I don't pause too long
I get the final SYN/ACK, you'll see what's next
I leave your windows disabled with the blue screen of death
My brain matter's faster, I dream in clean rooms
With a checkmate on Deep Blue in three moves
Shut down their opening now I got em backing off
Countered Sicilian to overthrow Kasparov
Blasting off with a cash crop to jettison
Taste your own medicine or invent like Edison
Impress the president, split the dichotomy
With quickness, of elliptic, curve cryptography
Plus quantum physics has the world surrounded
But I change the definition by talking about it
In the song "Cipher Punks" by Dual Core featuring Remington Forbes, the lyrics are filled with references to technology, computer science, and encryption. The lyrics in this song demonstrate the technical knowledge and skill of the artists as well as their prowess in rap.
The first paragraph begins with Int Eighty, which is a reference to the Intel 8080 microprocessor, highlighting the artists' affinity for technology. They mention being called Dual Core because they have twice as much cache or cash, which could be interpreted as a play on words referring to both computer processing and financial success. The artists boast about their fast freestyle skills and their ability to go to war with words, likening the intensity of their rap battles to the rivalry between the text editors Emacs and Vi. They also mention their determination and resilience, likening themselves to the perseverance needed to push through the summer for a successful winter.
The second paragraph delves into microeconomics, suggesting that the artists understand the financial aspects of the tech industry. They mention that their cash flow remains typical and minimally visible to the astrophysical world. This alludes to their success within the industry being somewhat under the radar. The artists also compare their brain's functionality to structures that explode like novas, highlighting the power and complexity of their thinking. They mention OpenMosix, a distributed computing project, as a metaphor for their mental toughness and adaptability. Additionally, they express their ability to execute rap competitors who know they can't compete. They also mention the execution command in computer programming, "change mode plus x," to emphasize their dominance.
The third paragraph focuses on the artists' technological prowess and technical specifications. They mention their kernel being 2.6.19, which refers to the version of the Linux operating system kernel. Their appearance is said to be clean, possibly in reference to their professional image within the industry. They highlight their ability to make connections and flow through the air like wireless reception, symbolizing their smooth delivery and ability to connect with audiences. They mention encryption (trip-DES) and creating a secure network by using Kismet, a wireless network detector, to reinforce the notion that they are vigilant in protecting their work and privacy.
The fourth paragraph sees Remington Forbes taking the stage. He confidently asserts his superiority over other rappers and references various technological and pop culture icons. He compares his skills to the famous chess-playing computer Deep Blue and mentions defeating Kasparov, a chess grandmaster. He also mentions Matthew Broderick, who played a character in the movie "WarGames," amplifying his own skills in the game of rap. Forbes connects his abilities to revolutionize the industry by referencing operating systems and bits, symbolizing his influence and power. He ends the paragraph by alluding to quantum physics, suggesting that he can change the narrative and redefine the game.
Overall, the lyrics of "Cipher Punks" showcase the artists' extensive knowledge and expertise in technology, computer science, and rap. They illustrate their technical skill, clever wordplay, and dominance within the industry. The song serves as an homage to technology and a display of their prowess, resonating with those who appreciate both rap and the intricacies of technology.
