’60s-sounding Welsh blues singer Aimee Anne Duffy - known professionally as Duffy - released her debut single Rockferry in December 2007. After relocating to London in 2006, she came to the attention of Rough Trade. She is often compared to late ’60s soul diva Dusty Springfield and has experienced significant mainstream success with the single Mercy reaching #1 in the United Kingdom. The debut album, Rockferry, was released in March 2008, and also made #1 on the UK album chart. Bernard Butler of Suede worked extensively on the album, lending it an authentic and wonderfully produced lush ’60s sound.
The 24-year-old’s debut album, Rockferry, triumphed at the 2009 BRIT Awards for British Album, British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act.

Friday on My Mind
Duffy Lyrics
Is that how your moving?
Your basically saying I wasn't enough for you
Losing my mind getting harder to keep my cool
You must play me for a fool
You must think Ima dummy
Like I would forgive you for what you did
I left but you still said you would be here for me
You lied to me, that shit is crazy Would've did anything for you, that's how you repay me
Got me losing my mind going crazy
But that shit gets better over time, right
I think it's best for me to move on And stop dwelling on the past
Stop dwelling on the past, that shit just happened last week
Oh, you thought that shit was over?
Fuck what you think
Like this shit getting under my skin
And I don't even know where to begin
Is that how your moving?
Your basically saying I wasn't enough for you
Losing my mind getting harder to keep my cool
You must play me for a fool
You must think Ima dummy
Like I would forgive you for what you did
I left but you still said you would be here for me
You lied to me, that shit is crazy Would've did anything for you, that's how you repay me
And that's how you repay me
And everything I said I meant it
Your basically saying I wasn't enough for you
Losing my mind getting harder to keep my cool
You must play me for a fool
You must think Ima dummy
Like I would forgive you for what you did
I left but you still said you would be here for me
You lied to me, that shit is crazy Would've did anything for you, that's how you repay me
Got me losing my mind going crazy
But that shit gets better over time, right
Stop dwelling on the past, that shit just happened last week
Oh, you thought that shit was over?
