Their style was based on an acoustic and simple pop-rock with a touch of rockabilly in great contrast with the more radical rock played in the area at the time. After being hired by 'Grabaciones Accidentales, S.A.' they contributed with two songs (Mi Amor and Bésame Mucho) to the new bands compilation La única alternativa (The Only Alternative).
In 1985 they recorded their first album, Por Tierras Escocesas (Around Scottish Lands), and Canciones (Songs) a year later, both produced by Paco Trinidad. The songs were immediately successful and gave them big popularity. After even more successful El Grito del Tiempo (The Cry of Time, 1984) and Grabaciones Olvidadas (Forgotten Recordings, a compilation of B-Sides, 1989) they became a duo and recorded the double album Autobiografía (Autobiography), with collaborations by Black and Sam Brown among others. They later also had several hits such as "Esos Ojos Negros" ("Those Black Eyes"). They finally came to a close as a band with their final cd, "Crepúsculo y Crudités" (Sunset and Crudités [1]) which was more orchestrated and softer than their older music.
Their most known hit is "En Algún Lugar" ("In Some Place"). The song was initially featured in Canciones, but it was the remix included in El Grito del Tiempo that became widely popular.
Rose
Duncan Dhu Lyrics

Tu rango se ve
Tatuado en tu piel
Presumes de él
Con quien, lo eliges bien
Y por eso hoy
Como un día más
Quisiste mostrar
Tu nombre en sociedad
La pobre de Rose
No oculto mi llanto
Y lloro por ti
No vueles tan alto
Que el cielo está detrás de ti
Mi pobre Rose, mi dulce Rose
Rose
Hoy lloro por ti
Tu risa es igual
Tan artificial
Como tu vida allí
Por eso mi Rose
Te quise seguir
No pude pasar
Más allá del portal
Y allí te dije adiós
Mi sueño, mi Rose
The song "Rosé" by Duncan Dhu tells the story of a woman named Rose who is concerned with her social status and public image. She flaunts her status and the company she keeps, going out dancing to show off her name in high society. However, the singer of the song, who is a friend of Rose's, sees through her facade and knows that her life is just as artificial as her smile. Therefore, he reflects on how high she is flying, and that she needs to slow down and not forget about those who love and care for her. In the end, the singer realizes that he cannot keep up with Rose's lifestyle and can only say goodbye to her at the door.
The lyrics are poignant and speak to the way society values superficial status, often forgetting the value of genuine relationships and connections. The metaphor of Rose, a flower often associated with beauty and elegance, but also fragility and impermanence, underscores the idea that those who prioritize their status over the well-being of others may ultimately be left alone.
