You can tell both players enjoyed this by their body language, they relished the challenge of each other. No handbags at the end or arguing with each other. A lot of defenders let Ferguson win headers because he was so strong and aggressive it wasn't worth their time or energy. Stam was a different beast, nobody intimidated him and a superb defender. Good seeing this clip of them both. Strikers didnt wanna face a physical challenge with Stam just as defenders didnt want to with Ferguson

Mono El Mono oh those were the days. When you realize those two weren’t even the hardest men on the pitch it’s amazing keane stam ferguson and even shearer

@billybigtime2808

@@niallheaton2724 who's harder than Ferguson?

@niallheaton2724

Feng Suave Roy Keane arguably

@rainman11985

@@niallheaton2724 TBF I have seen a quote from Keane saying he tended to stay away from Ferguson on the pitch. A tongue in cheek comment I'm sure but I'm not sure how Keane would have handled being tossed aside the way Dunc did to Paul Ince that time.

Hard fouls, no complainings, no crying, no VAR...I miss these times 😔

@muzzle_4717

This ain't no hard foul. They were breaking legs back then

@andym28

VAR has put me off football permantly because the matches are clearly fixed. Might start watching reruns from 1992 to 2010ish
