Hungry Like the Wolf
Duran Duran Lyrics

Dark in the city, night is a wire
Steam in the subway, earth is afire
Do do do do do do do dodo dododo dodo

Woman, you want me, give me a sign
And catch my breathing even closer behind
Do do do do do do do dodo dododo dodo

In touch with the ground
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you
Smell like I sound, I'm lost in a crowd
And I'm hungry like the wolf

Straddle the line in discord and rhyme
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you
Mouth is alive with juices like wine
And I'm hungry like the wolf

Stalked through the forest, too close to hide
I'll be upon you by the moonlight side
Do do do do do do do dodo dododo dodo

High blood drumming on your skin, it's so tight
You feel my heat, I'm just a moment behind
Do do do do do do do dodo dododo dodo

In touch with the ground
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you
Scent and a sound, I'm lost and I'm found
And I'm hungry like the wolf

Strut on a line, it's discord and rhyme
I howl and I whine, I'm after you
Mouth is alive, all running inside
And I'm hungry like the wolf

Hungry like the wolf

Burning the ground, I break from the crowd
I'm on the hunt down, I'm after you
I smell like I sound, I'm lost and I'm found
And I'm hungry like the wolf

Strut on a line, it's discord and rhyme
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you
Mouth is alive with juices like wine
And I'm hungry like the wolf

Burning the ground, I break from the crowd
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you
Scent and a sound, I'm lost and I'm found
And I'm hungry like the wolf

Strut on a line, it's discord and rhyme
I howl and I whine, I'm after you
Mouth is alive, all running inside

Quick Bit of Time Travel Back to 80s USA for the Curious...

I just racked my brain to remember what the '80s were like in CT, USA. I really enjoyed the era. There was like something for everybody... It's almost like no matter what decade you love you would have loved the '80s because there was some of that still going on in the '80s. You still had that whole Dazed and Confused- long-haired- partier- muscle car thing going on. You still had dead head cliques in the high schools, You even had a revival of rockabilly cliques for a while there (50sish rock and roll guys.)
Other high school cliques included metalheads, goths, punks, preppies, jocks, nerds, etc... Then you had those people who get along with all the cliques who are usually running for class president lol.

There were tons of different genres of music... old and new. You still had hippies and classic rockers. You still had members of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones on the charts. You still had soul singers like Patti LaBelle and Stevie Wonder on the radio. The Grateful Dead had their first top 40 hit.

Then you had new genres of music like New Wavers Duran Duran and Hip Hoppers Run DMC. You had new iconic music superstars like Prince and Guns n Roses. Michael Jackson and Van Halen. Metallica and Madonna. And these things would get played on the same hit radio stations. And on MTV. Variety was what it was all about and people were very open-minded. How else would I describe it?

Lots and lots of colors... Bright colors everywhere... Clothing, advertising, neon lights, everything had to be cheerful and colorful.

Things were very childlike during that decade because advertisers just got permission to advertise directly to children lol. So instead of saying, "Buy this doll for your little one"... The doll could now look into the camera and say, "Won't you please take me home to love?" And then the kid could nag mom and nag mom and nag mom again lol. So yes lots and lots of colors and unicorns and hearts and rainbows and flowers everywhere and I mean everywhere.

And lots of cartoons and lots of anime and Hello Kitty and Japanese stuff everywhere. And lots of Disney stuff everywhere and Disney Channel and Epcot center launched.

What else... I'm going to wrap this up soon... Lots of tropical stuff, lots of surfer stuff... Miami Vice and palm trees, sunglasses were very popular even wearing them indoors lol. Because you know if you have a hangover or a high-over lol.

Ummm... And things were very big... There was lots of influence from the 1940s... Big hair... Big shoulder pads... Just like in the 40s. But more of a new wave take on it.

Also rockabilly came back so there was a new wave spin on the 50s. Back to the Future, The Outsiders, The Stray Cats... The 50s were big in the 80s.

Heavy metal was huge. Horror movies were huge. Amusement parks were huge. Water parks were huge. Malls were gigantor. Drive-in movies and cineplexes were gigantor. And roller rinks and night clubs were king. But Disney theme parks were empires.

The 90s was like three waves... The first wave was like the '80s on steroids, everything was even bigger and more colorful, the next wave was like an alt hipster coffee shop vibe era, and the last wave was a Y2K fear fueled dysoptian hallucination with corporate conglomerate produced shlock entertainment to boot, (as if the people at the helm were abandoning morals and partying like it was 1999. Which struck me as strange because I thought if you feared you were about to meet the maker you'd want to be on your best behavior lol)

(By the way protecting yourself from AIDs then was the same as you do now. You wear a condom and don't use dirty needles. It was no scarier then, than it is now if you protect yourself.

Everyone always says how they wish to take a time machine DeLorean back to the '80s because it was totally rad dude (and honestly it really was amazing I swear). But then you'll have that guy who says, "But there was AIDS back then. No thanks." This scares me. It's as if he thinks AIDS went away. AIDS is still here in 2021, buddy. Plus now we've got that plus COVID. Do you even wear condoms? Do you even wear masks?)

So if and when they build that time machine you'd be a stooge to say no to Marty McFly.

Folks in 1980: Man, I can’t wait for the future! It’s gonna be awesome!
Folks in 2020: I really want to go back to the 80s.

DESERT SAGE ARIZONA 1- TRINITY ROCKS MUSIC

NO DOUBT!! Haha! I will always love the music of the eighties- part of the reason I do what I do! These guys were my first concert experience when I was just 13
years old in Seattle, Washington. It was heaven for me when the curtain
fell, and they emerged from the smoke-fog in all of their badassery:
Singing "PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME NOW"~! (Is There something I Should
Know)??? GREAT SONG~! I will be listening to anything D2 puts out there
for the rest of eternity~! TRINITY's a BIG FAN!!!!! IF THIS era was the
soundtrack of your life- you will LOVE our EIGHTIES-REWIND project. OUR
music club has SO MUCH FUN! Check it out.

AIDA D.
