E.O.E. Lyrics

Where all my supporters at
I guess I gotta have clout to receive that
7 years of losses-rigged contests
That’s a fact
But what’s inevitable, only God can change that
Took a L at a show that’s the first year
Turn my loss into a lesson
That’s the first tear
I don’t turn to my flaws
That’s the third fear
Cuz the first one not even on Earth here
But I’m birthed here
Flowing like it’s heaven sent
Blessings 16 years old
I’m still relevant
Ain’t no talking bout the money or the fame
Everybody talkin bout the same thing like
Like hold up hold up aye
Shawty can you throw yo 4’s up
Praying on the mental gotta maintain
Everybody on the stage gotta make a change like
Like hold up hold up aye
Charlotte can you throw yo 4’s up
Praying on the mental gotta maintain
I just wanna get on stage gotta make a change
I’m just praying on the mental gotta maintain
Everybody comin up say the same thang
Want the money or the ice or the gold rangs
Want the whip or the foreign or the gold chains
And we sit eating up lo mein
But we mad about the world yellin what a change
And we mad about the world yellin what a change
But for 7 plus years ya’ll ignore the change
But God back with a vengeance
I’m spreading the mission
The mission-gotta help everybody
So bodies on bodies stop piling
On the streets where the cops are collecting the tally
So tally up the mark of the beast
Of the shadow of death why
All you new rappers ain’t new to me
Got the same flow it’s a two to me
You can count it on your fingers
Still a duce to me
So let me pray to God and rap the eulogy
Woo

And rigged contests ain’t new to me

You still in my shadow G
L’s back to back while you mapping my catastrophe
While you cutting up, I take a L like a trapper G
And sell to the people
Loss to lesson-made a masterpiece

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of E.O.E.'s song "Welcome Home" focus on themes of perseverance and staying true to one's values. The opening lines express gratitude for their supporters and the recognition that one needs clout to receive support. They then speak about the struggles they have faced, including rigged contests and years of losses. However, they remain optimistic that change is possible, and that only God can make it happen. The lyrics demonstrate the artist's refusal to give up and their focus on using their experiences (including losses) as lessons to grow from.

The second part of the song is more introspective, reflecting on the nature of the rap game and how it all too often emphasizes wealth and status over skill and talent. The lyrics emphasizing the importance of focusing on mental health and avoiding falling into the trap of seeing fame and fortune as the ultimate goals. E.O.E. urges their fellow rappers to use their platforms to make a positive change in the world and to help those who are struggling. The song ends with an invitation to join E.O.E. in representing the Q-City and vibes with A.O.G.

This video synthesizes the most recent articles I've read, thanks for making this video accessible.

Great video that sums it all up. I got my diagnose 13 years ago and did not treat it any way. It has gotten progressively worse and I recently ended up at the ER with food impaction. Now on PPIs since two weeks and symptoms have almost disappeared. Endoscopy in a few weeks to check eosonophil levels. One thing I have noticed is that if my asthma flares up due to pollen or animals my eoe also gets worse. So clearly it's not just food. Anyway don't get used to living with eoe, get treatment soon since this is in most cases a progressive disease (was not pointed out by doctors back in 2008)

We have similiar experiences. I read a few years ago about a case where an allergy doctor put a patient on Humira and it cleared up the dysphagia. I just had my endoscopy and diagnosed and I'm curious what solutions will be offered next.

Just diagnosed. It's been fun but thank God for Doctors. I've had allergies my entire life so this is no surprise. I had a dilation done during my endoscopy and I'm enjoying every day that it lasts because I know its only temporary. I'm grateful I dont have something worse but not being able to enjoy food like everyone else is horrible and unless you've had the experience of food constantly getting stuck you have no idea how bad it is.

I have had EoE for a year and a half. I have had the orodispersible steroid tablets for 8 weeks, and achieved remission. However while this gets rid of the inflammation, if you keep eating the triggered foods it keeps coming back. I avoid cow's milk and all dairy related food. I try to eat slower as well but generally i get a burning in my throat and its uncomfortable. However I am able to swallow tablets, food and water with no issues whatsoever. I would love to try the elimination diet for real, rather than guess the foods that cause an issue. Even things like tomato soup have milk in them and trigger a flare up. Not easy, but be prepared to eat a lot more healthier!

This was good info and presented very clearly.
I am a 44 year old who is 5 weeks into the elemental diet. I agree that it's awful, mostly for quality of life, but I'll continue it for the last 16 days. I know you mentioned there is no "best approach" for a reintroduction phase, but wondered what standard practice is? Do you need 6 weeks of SFED afterwards? Also, where does alcohol fit in - wine specifically?

@Luiz Felipe Fernandes Stipp Is there any studies or tests being created for the mucosa responding to the proteins? I've suffered since childhood by regularly getting foods caught in my throat; I had my first dilation at 18 and have had more than 1/2 a dozen since; and my eosinophil count has never been lower than 50. Even after a 6 week elimination diet, my eosinophils were still high. But, after the elemental diet, my eosinophils went to 0 - I was shocked, amazed and very happy. It means it's 100% food related, and my refusal for medicine is warranted since, in theory, I can just eliminate the problematic foods. I didn't think anything would work, but the elemental diet worked wonderfully. There just isn't an easy way for re-introduction and figuring out the triggers yet.

What are ur eosinophils now? I have Eoe also

@Mason Malaguti After doing the elemental diet, my eosinophils were ZERO!! So, mine is definitely food related. I didn't do the re-introduction with every follow-up endoscopy, and I haven't tested again since then so I don't know my # now.
