Mandibles
E.Town Concrete Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Take the bullet between my mandibles
It's the path I chose
Took life and I grabbed the balls
I rose like an animal
And the jungle taught me to handle foes

To all y'all mother Fers
Heffers and half steppers
The best of us is yet to come
So y'all ain't seen the last of us

I am that kid that nobody ever gave a fuck about
Curse words and the worst words
Were the first words coming out my mouth
We started out we had nothing to lose

I never had an option
So there was nothing to choose
It was all about turning
Food stamps into cash

Buy some dipsey doodles
With a food stamp
Get 75 cents back
What you know about that now?

In my darkest hour it seems that I can't make it
I find the strength within to know that I can take it
Finger on the trigger, you know you better pull it
Barrel in my mouth, I learned to bite the bullet.

I'm right here
Its right now

Finger on the trigger
Barrel in my mouth

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to E.Town Concrete's song "Mandibles" describe a life of struggle and hardship, but also of determination and resilience. The singer declares that he has taken control of his life, even if it means taking risks and living dangerously. He acknowledges that he came from a rough background and had to fight tooth and nail to make it in the world. But he also says that he has learned valuable lessons from his experiences, and that he is ready to face whatever challenges come his way.

The repeated phrase "finger on the trigger, barrel in my mouth" is a powerful image that suggests both the singer's willingness to take risks and his awareness of the dangers that surround him. It also highlights the idea that life can sometimes feel like a constant struggle, with the possibility of failure and defeat always present. However, the singer's message is ultimately one of strength and resilience, as he declares that he will not be defeated by the obstacles in his path.

Overall, "Mandibles" is a raw and powerful song that speaks to the struggles of everyday life and the strength of the human spirit. It is an anthem for anyone who has faced adversity and come out the other side, and a reminder that even in the darkest of times, we can find the strength to carry on.

This was my best friends favorite band and he passed away last week. He got me into amazing songs such as First Born and Soldier.
I miss you brother 👊🏼

@dustinbaxter4521

@l.shehan.official2256

Band type of hatebreed and madball

@ProjektFear

Unless you have seen these guys live you would have no perception of how good these guys were. Seen them many, many, many times. Every time , every show, they rocked. One show with Sworn Enemy I ran into Anthony outside trying to get an E-Town (Panthro) hat, the front had run out of hats, Anthony gave me the hat off his head. These guys were a HUGE part of the local HardCore scene in Jersey. NJHC forever!

@klocc5627

The most under rated band. Ever. The only band that sonically sounds like this. The rawest aggression, pain, realness. I was saying this about Deftones like mid 2022 and they doubled their IG followers in a year. I hope E Town gets their due. Maybe the world was living too good in that time for something as harsh as this

@rmp88

the true definition of rapcore, amazing music.

@kentucky_ken

Ah... the rap metal days. It's 2021 and this will never be forgotten. 🤘

@cosmicbrownnie1380

No one has the raw talent, style, and diversity of E-Town. they are a very unique band, that didn't get the attention they deserved.

@BIGCITY81

So true

Every genre has its expiration date though sadly. Happens to every genre: Rock N Roll, Hip Hop, Metal, Grunge, and Nu Metal
