Though seasons would eventually separate these blood brothers by miles, a strong bond remained. These two were rooted in the same soil, and the sound of that union resounded across state lines and through telephone wires. It was in 2005 that ELANI was born, a Greek word or name that means 'light'. Many contributed to the sound and direction that was 'ELANI' over the next 5 years, and the music was positively shaped and formed by these experiences and collaborations between these friends and fellow creatives.
There has never been one genre to pin to what the Brothers Miller have accomplished over these last six years, but it could be said that the songs spin a tale, weaving a story full of depth and discovery, soul, Spirit, and the scent of the seasons. Like many who have come before, The brothers Miller were born with the breathe of the centuries, and the rhythm of life itself. Every sound comes from the overflow of that reality.

Uko wapi eeh
We uko wapi eeh
Nibembeleze kwani mie ndiye wako
We uko wapi eeh
Uko wapi eeh
We uko wapi eeh
Nichangamkie kwani mie ndiye wako
Kutoka utotoni niliyekuwa naye
Maziwa ya nyayo tukicheza hicho
Yeye Rabi kanibariki mimi
Na nimekoma, na nina noti
Lakini malkia wangu
Uwalinalo vutia ajabu
Nirudishie, nirudishie wewe
Nirudishie utanipa maisha yangu
We uko wapi eeh
Uko wapi eeh
We uko wapi eeh
Nibembeleze kwani mie ndiye wako
We uko wapi eeh
Uko wapi eeh
We uko wapi eeh
Nichangamkie kwani mie ndiye wako
Ndiye ndiye wako wako wakoo wakoo ooh oh
Nafanya mimi ninachokipenda
Muziki asali inaridhisha
Lakini bado sijajitosheleza
Natafuta sukari nikwangane asali
Asali sukari sukari asali utamu halisi
Ni we, we pekee
We uko wapi eeh
Uko wapi eeh
We uko wapi eeh
Nibembeleze kwani mie ndiye wako
We uko wapi eeh
Uko wapi eeh
We uko wapi eeh
Nichangamkie kwani mie ndiye wako
Ndiye ndiye wako wako wakoo wako ooh
Weeh oh, weeh oh
Elani's song Uko Wapi is a love song about a person searching for their lover. The lyrics "We uko wapi eeh, Uko wapi eeh" are translated to "Where are you, where are you?" The person is reaching out to their lover by asking where they are, hoping their lover will hear them and respond. The lyrics "Nibembeleze kwani mie ndiye wako" means "Let me comfort you because I am yours" and "Nichangamkie kwani mie ndiye wako" means "Let me cheer you up because I am yours." The person acknowledges their childhood memories with the lyric "Kutoka utotoni niliyekuwa naye, Maziwa ya nyayo tukicheza hicho," which means "Since childhood, we've played and danced together."
The person singing the song is grateful for the blessings in their life, as seen in the lyric "Yeye Rabi kanibariki mimi, Na nimekoma, na nina noti," which translates to "God has blessed me, and now I have money." However, even with this success, they still feel incomplete without the love of their life. They describe their lover as "malkia wangu," which means "my queen." The song ends with the repeated phrase "Ndiye ndiye wako wako wakoo wakoo ooh," which means "You are mine."
Overall, the lyrics of Uko Wapi describe a person's longing for their true love, even in the midst of their personal success. They acknowledge the memories they have shared with their lover and express a desire to comfort them and cheer them up. The song captures the essence of true love and the importance of cherishing and holding onto it.
