Stuck
EarthGang Lyrics

I'm stuck to you
I'm sorry I can't get loose
I'm stuck to you
I apologize for all the times I blew
I'm stuck to you
I'm sorry I can't get loose
I'm stuck to you
I apologize for all the times I blew

You pretty black rose
You brutalized soul
I pinky promise I won't hurt you no mo'
Don't leave me out, out in the cold
'Cause I don't wanna die anymore (Alright! Attention!)

Mister misunderstanding marryin'
Miscommunication today at 3
Don't lose your invitation, 'cus they say
It's the place you ought to be
Filled with the who's whos of who's you?
Who's me? And who's anybody?
Please stress and you'll find it
Like caskets, y'all?
Well gee, just wait and see
Who grabbed me by the collar
Make me make 'em holler, I should've reconsidered, I know
Niggas ain't shit, huh
Well you ain't lying
And I hate, I hate to be let go
So in this nightlife
Said I apologize

I'm stuck to you
I'm sorry I can't get loose
I'm stuck to you
I apologize for all the times I blew
I'm stuck to you
I'm sorry I can't get loose
I'm stuck to you
I apologize for all the times I blew

First time did this verse, spit it half assed
I wasn't in the mood, goons get emotional too
You angelic, getting high got me closer to you
Summer nights, star gazing, Frank Ocean and shrooms
Girl you drive me boo-coo-coo-coo
Fucked around with you even though you down to fuck bitches too
There's nothing that you won't do
Mama ain't raise no fool, well now I guess that ain't true
I'm in and out of symbiotic situation shit too often
Never finish how they started, used to fuck you on the carpet
The floor is hot lava, hoe I hate to guess we always talked about
I guess I'm finna go without ya like Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Marshall ain't came in here for a minute
Depending who you asking, you ask who you depend in
But what we been through ain't nobody business
My love for you is infinite

Take me in a circle
Fuck that if I say so
Worst part is she came close (love, love)

First thing that we came for
Everything, yeah we made for
Everything that we paid for
Why is it breaking us down?
Now, I
Why is you breaking us down, girl?

I'm stuck to you
I'm sorry I can't get loose
I'm stuck to you

I apologize for all the times I blew
I'm stuck

Overall Meaning

This song, "Stuck," by EarthGang features the vocal talents of Ari Lennox and it's all about how the two people in the song can't seem to separate from each other. The repeated, catchy chorus is simple: "I'm stuck to you, I'm sorry I can't get loose, I'm stuck to you, I apologize for all the times I blew." The singer refers to their partner as a "pretty black rose" and acknowledges that they've hurt them before, but promises not to hurt them anymore. They plead for their partner not to leave them alone, as they don't want to die anymore.

The verses explore the dynamics of the relationship more deeply, with lines like "N****s ain't s**t, huh, well you ain't lying," indicating that one or both of the people in the relationship have been unfaithful. The singer also mentions "Frank Ocean and shrooms," suggesting moments of intense intimacy with their partner. The lines "The floor is hot lava, hoe I hate to guess we always talked about, I guess I'm finna go without ya like Forgetting Sarah Marshall" reference the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which is about a couple who break up but still can't seem to stay apart. The singer admits they're "in and out of symbiotic situation," implying that they're enmeshed in an unhealthy relationship pattern.

Overall, "Stuck" is a bittersweet song that captures the push and pull of a complicated relationship. The instrumentation is smooth and dreamy, but the lyrics are raw and real. It's a relatable song for anyone who's been in a relationship that feels impossible to leave.

I swear Earthgang and J.I.D are going to be the kings of hip-hop one day

@michealharris3109

@Manuel Saltos most likely not bro. The industry is so full of whack sock puppets, it’s diluted the younger generations perception and expectations from real genuine artists who didn’t sell out.

@midnightgravity.

U forgetting the rest of the dreamville crew

@PerocDisgusting

Micheal Harris if Cole is out there without selling out so can Earthgang and JID and the rest of Spill Vill

@Zafilio

somewhat agree man, the musical climate right now is seriously fucked up. So many talented artists not making it to the forefront while whack artists are making millions. However, EarthGang has the talent and appeal to take over.

@keenannash2947

Micheal there are plenty of good rappers who arent sellouts and have success rn. There have always been garbage artist who get success off of being catchy but the good one last. When cole and kendrick first started getting major bizz guys like souljaboy and waka flocka were more popular in terms of views and attention... 10 years later we see who's still around and who isn't.

@kshaq3331

They always had their unique sound.

@OrangutanMontage

I just feel like I like their newer stuff better. This and their song 'Build" are both much more enjoyable to me
