she's so fine
Easybeats Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I woke up bright and early this mornin'
My little girl was not in sight
I been lookin' everywhere
Mornin', noon and daylight

'Cause she's so fine
She's so fine
Well she's so fine
Oh, she's so fine, you know I wish she was mine

I've got somethin' to tell her
And maybe she'll listen, maybe not
But I loved that woman like never before
'Cause all my love she's got

Well, she's so fine
She's so fine
Well, she's so fine
Woah-ho, she's so fine, you know I wish she was mine, ah, c'mon
Harry

One
Two
Three
Six, sorry, Harry

Well she's so fine
She's so fine
Well she's so fine
Oh-oh she's so fine, you know I wish she was mine, ah c'mon
Oh yeah, a-c'mon-on

Well, she's so fine
She's so fine
Yeah she's so fine
Oh, she's so fine, you know I wish she was mine, I want more
Hey, let's go, I want more

Hmm, yeah, she's so fine
She's so fine
Ah well, she's so fine

Oh, she's so fine, you know I wish she was mine
And that's all

Overall Meaning

The Easybeats' song "She's So Fine" is a classic rock and roll love song. The singer wakes up to find his lover not by his side, and he searches for her throughout the day. What he finds is that she's so fine and all he can do is wish that she was his. The first few lines set the scene for the rest of the song, emphasizing the singer's eagerness to find his lover. The repetition of the phrase "she's so fine" underscores the deep attraction the singer feels for her, and the line "all my love she's got" seems to suggest that he's all in on this relationship. The final lines are a request for more of her, indicating that the singer can't get enough of his fine woman.

One interesting interpretation of the song is that it's about a woman who's out of the singer's league. He's smitten with her, but he knows deep down that she's too good for him. Another interpretation is that the song is an ode to a specific woman in the band's life or someone they knew. Regardless of the meaning, "She's So Fine" is a catchy rock and roll tune that captures the excitement and infatuation of a budding romance.

I was thinking, listening to Sorry, ten minutes ago, that 22/23 years before, WW2 was on and these teens and 20 yr old bomber crews would be listening to THERE'LL BE BLUE BIRDS OVER THE WHITE CLIFFS OF DOVER and GLENN MILLER...

Just a tsunami of change!

The Easybeats / Stevie had a powerful influence on me when I was a teenager. I had all their records incl' the EP Easyfever.Knew every word to every song. Played them over and over and over.If anyone was born to be a rock star it was Stevie. He owned the stage and just loved being up there.Always smiling as he belted out those words (slow ballads aside ....but there were only a couple). And dancing, always in time ...never missed a beat did Stevie ...it was easy for him and the group couldn't have had a better name. The Beatles were fabulous. The Stones too.But Stevie brought EXCITEMENT! No band before or since has excited me more than the Easybeats. With a little luck and a twist of fate they could have been right up there with the Beatles and Stones. They were as good, just not as well known.RIP Stevie. You brought huge amounts of joy to so many of us.
