I’m glad you’ve come around
You’ve been so down
The joy of seeing you smile
So wide, it don’t mean anything
These broken shoes
Have done some walking and
You touch the ground and it feels like home
It don’t mean anything
Don’t look and you won't find
It’s always worth your time
I love you and goodnight
Goodnight
I said this day hurt
Won't last forever and
This time I’m right
So you turn to me and you smile
So wide, it don’t mean anything
This lucky day
Its been a long time coming and
All that we’ve done
Won't be forgotten goodnight
Goodnight
Don’t look and you won't find
It’s always worth your time
I love you and goodnight
Goodnight
The song 'Goodnight' from the English rock band Easyworld is a heartwarming piece that talks about friendship, love, and hope. The song starts with thanking the friends for coming over and helping the singer feel better. The singer acknowledges that their friends might have been through some tough times, but their smiles make it all better. However, the singer also understands that sometimes, the things we do or the love we give might not mean anything in the larger scheme of things. The line "So wide, it don't mean anything" conveys that sentiment beautifully.
The second verse talks about how the singer has gone through some tough times too, but they are trying to look at the brighter side. The line "This lucky day, it's been a long time coming" is a symbol of hope and positivity that even though life might throw curveballs at us, good days will still come. The song ends with the phrase "Don't look, and you won't find," which could be interpreted in two ways. It could be a reminder that we should never stop searching for answers, but it could also mean that sometimes we should stop overthinking and simply enjoy the moment with our loved ones.

One of the most beautiful and under-rated bands the UK ever produced. If they had only been with the right label and been around at the right time they could have made it.... Instead the music industry chewed them out and spit them up to the point where they couldn't stand to stay together.
