Eater Lyrics

Talk and dissipate
Think ahead
Make them laugh
Drown the noise away
Something else to say
On your own
Best of all
Show them love
Watch them grow
It's what you are
What you are
What you are
Piling mounds of darkness
In hope that it will bloom
You can stay inside it
But only if you choose
Anytime
Any day
Show your friends
Start again
You will find
It's what you are
What you are
What you are
What you are
What you are
In Eater's song "You," the lyrics speak about the importance of perseverance, the power of positive energy, and the impact one can have on others. The song encourages listeners to make it through each day, to talk and dissipate negative thoughts, and to think positively about the future. When life gets tough, the song reminds us to drown out the noise and find something else to say, to be on our own, and to make the most of our time by showing others love and kindness.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of creating something beautiful out of darkness. Piling mounds of darkness in hope that it will bloom suggests that even in our darkest moments, we have the ability to create something beautiful and meaningful. The song encourages us to embrace our struggles and use them as a catalyst for growth and transformation.
Overall, "You" is a song about resilience, love, and self-discovery. It reminds us that we have the power to choose our own path and to create a better world for ourselves and others.

As great as The Album is it would have been interesting to have heard it mixed like this 45 version.

The 1st wave punks sold out really quickly. That was what attracted me to punk, was the street-level, primal sound. It's the only way to do rock and roll imo. I generally only like the debut releases, and the 45 rpm versions. One particularly embarrassing example of this syndrome was the way The Lurkers' singles were the kind of rock I'd die for, but then their later debut LP sounded like Boston. Even the cover sleeve was all lame and pastel- like, and they looked really neutral and mainstreamish. That used to anger me, but not as angry as I'd be with 99.9% of punk fans aside from me, who wouldn't even notice. I mean, wt*, you know.

Oare in afara de tine, cati isi mai amintesc de toate aceste formatii vechi ? :)

Jesus fucking christ i didn’t know Eater was so unheard of can’t even find tabs of this shit

@kyle krebs Andy Blade the singer and writer and Brian Chevett the guitarist of Eater went to my school. The year above me. I knew them well. I heard Outside View and You the day they came out. Exciting times even though I was a hippie and didn’t like punk music. Anyway, all their songs are basic 3 or 4 chords at most and don’t require any music theory.

@Big Sky thank you i’m self taught and new at learning guitar and bass and shit so i’m kinda retarted when it actually comes to real chords and music theory

It’s a very easy song to play. Chords E,A and D. You don’t need tabs.
