19 muthafuckin' '93
& I'm back in this bitch,
Eazy muthafuckin' E, the hip hop thugster...
Shouts go out to these fake ass notorius...
[laughing:]
Muthafuckin' wannabe's...
I like to say what's up to my bitch Dre. [laugh]
What's up honey...?
Hold on 'cause E makes some mo' money, baby.
& to that skinny ass, punk muthafuckin' main G ass Dre,
Snoop doggy doggy dogg, what's up nigga? Dogg catcher's about to get ya...

Muthafuckin' mutt...
...& if y'all niggas don't know what's up,

Y'all better ask somebody, y'all better ask somebody,
Y'all better ask somebody. [laughing]

Overall Meaning

In "Exxtra Special Thankz," Eazy-E is returning to the rap game in 1993 and is taking the opportunity to take subtle shots at his competition. He starts the verse with a boastful introduction, proclaiming himself as "Eazy muthafuckin' E, the hip hop thugster." Eazy then calls out his fake adversaries, referring to them as "fake ass notorius" and "Muthafuckin' wannabe's." He proceeds to shout out to his collaborator and friend, Dr. Dre, and thanks him for his support throughout the years. Eazy also throws a playful dig at Dre's slim figure and comments, "Hold on 'cause E makes some mo' money, baby." Eazy concludes his verse with a warning to his enemies, stating that the "dogg catcher's about to get ya," referencing Snoop Dogg's song, "Dogg Catcher."

The theme of the song revolves around Eazy's re-entry into the rap game and his intention to dominate. He takes shots at his competition, such as Ice Cube, who had left N.W.A., and Dr. Dre, who had started his own label, Death Row Records. Eazy intentionally uses provocative lyrics in his song, showcasing his provocative persona as a "gangster" rapper. "Exxtra Special Thankz" was released posthumously in 1995 after Eazy's death, and the song was one of his final works.
