Pablo
Ebony Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Ele faz hip-hop e piadas do Jamie Foxx
Ele é alto e chocolate tipo o Lebron
E ouvir sua voz é como ouvir rock
Eu engoli ele como se fosse Bourbon
E se esse negão quer brincar de ser ruim
Teu mano é meu fã, vou pegar um por um
É errado teu som no meu carro, nego
É errado o teu bro na minha Lambo?

Eu tô vivendo e apostando tipo o Pablo
Eu nem ando ligando pro lifestyle
Meninas lindas ficam feias quando falam
Ele disse me encarando no seu freestyle

Tudo passa? Passa nada
Passa a goma, cara
Eu passo na sua cara e elas passam pano
Eu passei rimando
E passei por pouco mas passei de ano
E esses playba não passaram é nada do que tão falando
E esse mano
Falou que esse mano
E esse outro mano
Entraram na minha calcinha
Cê tá me zoando?
Eu até te daria se gostasse do que tá falando e
Até te ouviria se eu não tivesse te escutando

Eu tô vivendo e apostando tipo o Pablo
Eu nem ando ligando pro lifestyle

Ele disse que quer me levar pra Cairo
Eu só boto sentimento no meu freestyle

Overall Meaning

In Ebony's song "Pablo," she describes her attraction to a man who she compares to famous basketball player LeBron James and references to comedian Jamie Foxx. She emphasizes the power of his voice, which she likens to the sound of rock music, and hints at her willingness to fall under his influence like she would with a drink of bourbon. Although she acknowledges some potential problems with their relationship, such as his music being taboo in certain circles or her falling out of love with his lifestyle, she brushes off the latter. She also reveals her love for freestyling as a form of personal expression that brings her closer to the man to whom she is attracted.

The good thing about Ebony's legacy is that she will be forever remembered. From what i can see with the flow of many different musics she partnered before she passed away. They are now coming out gradually. Even if they thought those musics was not of a good quality at that particular time, now that she is gone, all those songs are popular and ready to achieve.

It is unique and absolutely an entertainment hero in Ghanaian literature. Ebony's case is different from many past artist in our history. She left uncompleted job to be finished by "others" Namely, those artists she collaborated with and they are now shaping their lives and images through "Ebony". Not to forget about those who will consider seeking entertainment career with attempts to use "Ebonyism" or "Ebonymania" to gain attention. I think her parents should be proud.

It is sad i only discovered her when she passed away and if you have experience in literature and understand the qualities of an artist you can figure out how intelligent, natural, she was as a musician. RIP Nana Hemaa.
