Personally it's my favourite but I definitely prefer the live at BBC version because it seems like he is genuinely experiencing the downfall of fame in his voice and telling the story in a way, that even if you do not understand the albums message you can feel the sadness of it.

I too, am great for what i have, but i'm older now and retired. I used to live in a quiet part of Cali, me and my daughter. we used to say the quiet is keeping us up. Now i would love to be some where other than the noise and sirens, helicopters and Areo planes flying over. I have to turn this on every night to filter out the noise so i can sllep in peace.

After looking for about 20 minutes to find something to help with insomnia and only finding thunderstorms and "sleep music"..... I finally found the music of my heart.

Being from the South I can tell you that nothing helps soothe the soul quite like crickets and cicadas singing you to sleep at.

Can I just say even at my lowest of lows I catch myself drifting into my own happy place listening to this. I remember all those childhood memories of the crickets chirping. The thunder rolling softly… the soft pitter-patter of rain on a metal roof in this barn I use to play around in. I just feel at ease…I don’t have this pulling or demanding feeling if you will, of life. When I think back on all those memories and listen to this… I seem to just drift… away from it all…. It’s pure bliss.

It’s the small things in your childhood that we take for granted. I use to complain it was to loud in the barn when it rained. I would try and make the crickets stop chirping. I wished the thunder would stop. But now… here I am. Wishing for it all. Wishing for everything raindrop, every cricket, every feeling I got when the thunder seemed to just roll over the barn.. so please guys… enjoy things while you have them… because when you look back and think about memories like that. Most of the time it’s already gone.

Cricket chirps are like a lullaby for me as I grew up listening to them outside my bedroom at night. Sometimes though it was too loud because there were many right outside my window.. This video is perfect because it's just one cricket with gentle rolling thunder in the background--not the crashing kind that shakes the house.

Very nostalgic sounds!!! Parents need to always remind their children to enjoy their childhood. It goes by too fast and us parents need to help them experience all the things in this world. Nature I refer to of course. Nothing's more beautiful than nature. Nature has changed from 25 years ago. I member the smells of spring the amount of bees and how clean and blue the sky was. I really do wish someone invents time machines.

Other than older ppl stress with things in life they been thru n manage themselves to release stress . Kids nowadays worry bout things so much that they don’t keep up what out there instead of their phones being something to entertain em when they are bored . Nature is full of curiosity and peace I think ppl don’t see that at all.
