Echoes from Airplanes Lyrics

A beautiful world
So close I came to the dark side
To be rescued by you
It's dawn now, the suns coming home
To heat my bones and clear my head
I'm littered, scattered and jitters
I'm the best I've ever been
It's overrated, all we do
It's overrated, all we do
I owe you
I love you
And I trust you, that you'll love me too
Your rescue, my refuge
Your rescue, my refuge
I owe you
I love you
I trust you
That you'll love me too
The lyrics of Echoes from Airplanes' song Savior depict a personal transformative experience where the singer is saved from a dark place by a person close to them. The first two lines convey how the singer's worldview has changed since they met this individual – they now see the world as beautiful. The use of the word "rescued" suggests that the singer was in a dangerous place before this person intervened. The line "It's dawn now, the sun's coming home" signifies a new beginning and a sense of hope. The sun brings light and warmth, which can also be interpreted as a metaphor for the person who saved the singer bringing light and warmth into their life.
The chorus "It's overrated, all we do" suggests that the singer has come to understand that material possessions are not as important as the connection they have with the person who saved them. They now realize that their relationship is what truly matters. The repetition of "I owe you, I love you, I trust you, that you'll love me too" emphasizes the gratitude and love the singer has for the person who saved them. The use of the words "rescue" and "refuge" highlights the idea that this person has provided a space of safety and comfort for the singer.
Overall, the lyrics of Savior depict a personal transformation from darkness to light, which has been enabled by a close relationship with another person. The lyrics emphasize the importance of human connection and the transformative power of love.
