Bibia Be Ye Ye
I lost my shoes last night
I don’t know where I put my keys
I was tired and fell asleep beneath an oak tree
I bet my mother’s proud of me from each scar upon my knuckle
And each graze upon my knee, and all I know is
I got a cab and then threw up on his car seat
He kicked me out and then I walked in the rain
I tell myself in every way I won’t be doing this again
And tomorrow’s a brand new day
Someone told me, always say what’s on your mind
And I am only, being honest with you, I I get lonely
And make mistakes from time to time
Se enioma enko ye (if thing’s aren’t working out)
Bibia Be Ye Ye (everything will be alright)
Bibia Be Ye Ye Ye Ye Ye Ye Ye
Bibia Be Ye Ye
I remember less and less, and mostly things that I regret
In my phone are several texts, from girls I’ve never met
And in the pocket of my jeans, are only coins and broken dreams
My heart is breaking at the seams
And I’m coming apart now
Now things are looking up, I’ll find my shoes right next to the oak tree
And I’ll get a bus straight into town
And spend the afternoon looking around for the things that I left on the ground
And say you’re with me tomorrow’s a brand new day
Someone told me, always say what’s on your mind
And I am only, being honest with you, I I get lonely
And make mistakes from time to time
Se enioma enko ye (if thing’s aren’t going well)
Bibia Be Ye Ye
Wo nooma (Be Ye Ye) (Your problems will be solved)
Wo nooma maaaa ye
Wo nooma (Be Ye Ye)
Wo nooma maaaa ye
Wo nooma (Be Ye Ye)
Wo nooma maaaa ye
Wo nooma (Be Ye Ye)
Wo nooma maaaa ye
Someone told me, always say what’s on your mind
And I am only, being honest with you, I I get lonely
And make mistakes from time to time
Se enioma enko ye (if thing’s aren’t going well)
Bibia Be Ye Ye
Bibia Be Ye Ye Ye Ye Ye Ye Ye
Bibia Be Ye Ye
Wo nooma (Be Ye Ye)
Wo nooma maaaa ye
Wo nooma (Be Ye Ye)
Wo nooma maaaa ye
Bibia Be Ye Ye Ye Ye Ye Ye Ye
Wo nooma (Be Ye Ye)
Wo nooma maaaa ye
Wo nooma (Be Ye Ye)
Wo nooma maaaa ye

Don't want to copy and paste this everywhere but...
This is the bright side of Africa. As a South African, I have seen plenty of it, trust me! On one expedition:
Someone lent us a kayak on the spot after one of our two canoes, which were coincidentally also borrowed, was not staying a float. (Also side note, after we capsized in the middle of the lagoon someone actually towed us to the side and helped us get upright.)
Further up the river a party actually gave us a free beer and left over freshly made boerewors rolls.
We then walked to a farm, this had been arranged prior the expedition. which let us sleep there. We had an A grade campsite with grass clearing, a stream and a beautiful growth surrounding it which lent us some privacy. We left before the sun came up and left no trace of presence.
We then walked through farmlands(Again with prior permission) until we reached the organic farm where we had organised to stay the night(Again for free!)
They offered us a rough bathroom used by the farm worker complete with a shower, as well as a basic kitchen with all the appliances we could need. They then insisted that if we wish we could sleep in the farm shed. We moonlighted instead and while lying under the trees in the late afternoon we were treat with braai meat they had left over.
The next day we headed out for our final destination. Along the last stretch of road we were then offered lift by a friendly truck driver.
That being said... Walking in the wrong area or being at the wrong place at the wrong time could easily get you killed. Everyone has been affected by crime. Our cars was stolen. Down the road from us someone was stabbed to death. Someone we know had a grandmother who was brutally tortured and murdered by a homeless woman she welcomed into her home and looked after for 2 years. Go read about the shootings and the stabbings in the cape. Go read about the hijackings and murders in Joburg. Ask any local where the no go zones are. Read about the farm murders in the rural parts of the country. Africa is still a wild place. That comes with pros and cons. On one hand you have the untamed beauty and the opportunity to experience an un-narrated, true adventure. On the other hand you have violent criminals that are free to do as they please.
I, personally, love this song and love that it shows off this side of Africa... but to a large degree it glamorizes it.. Telling about a carefree traveler living the high life and not worrying about a thing. Thing is that can be risky and not warning of the dangers can encourage naive people to embark on such a journey themselves. (Take my advice, if you want to try something like this go in a group, and carry a knife.)

The song is so good that it got 22k dislikes. Haters love it but won't like so they dislike.
It would be nice to release it again as single.
Much love Ed. More blessings.
