My mother is a bipolar patient and is going through a very bad phase right now. She stayed alone at home today and when my grandmother and my sister arrived they found her lying on the ground, unconscious because of the alcohol, face down with blood and she was to the hospital. I only knew about 2 hours later and I stayed so bad, so sad, so nervous, because I didn't knew exactly what had happened.
Meantime, while I was waiting for news, I lay down on my bed, reminding myself that this album was already available. Incredibly, it was the only thing that made me feel better,. For years I was stuck in depression, and I stopped taking care of myself. I became obese, my hygiene was bad, I let my facial hair grow and become untidy, and I had no friends. It was a viscous circle making itself worse. I finally made it my new years resolution nearly 2 years ago to finally take care of myself and sort out my problems. Since then I have been taking much better care of myself, sorted out most of my problems and I've never felt happier and more confident. It's hard to get started, but push through it, and be determined to become a better person. ❤

I can relate to this song so much, my family had to go through really tough times, I’ve always been there for them, hiding my pain because I thought they were suffering more than I was, I helped them getting better one by one. And one day I imploded, I had kept too much, and nobody noticed how empty and strengthless I felt.. They were blinded by their happiness. So I had to save myself too .. I have forgiven them but I’ll never be able to forget this loneliness feeling ..

Anyone with a big heart, that's a giving person can relate to this song because people tend to take advantage of your kindness. I personally get more attached to my friends than the average person, so whenever I've had to lose one it takes forever to move past it. I can also relate to the drinking part, as I tend to get buzzed so I can stop overthinking for a while. Ed's lyrics are brilliant as usual, I'm glad he wrote this.
