Lo chiamavano king
Edda Dell Orso Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
He had a horse
Along the countryside
I saw him ride
He had a gun
I knew him well
Oh, I heard him singing
His name was King (his name was King)
He had a brother (he had a brother)
His only brother
A peaceful guy
One day they found him
His shirt was red
Two shiny bullets
They found his brother dead
You can't see King
Whoa, he's riding
You can't see King
That man is searching
Got to fight his anger
Find in his eyes
Sure to find that killer
Looking for the man
His name was King (his name was King)
He had a brother (he had a brother)
His only brother
A peaceful guy
One day they found him
His shirt was red
Two shiny bullets
They found his brother dead
You can't see King
Whoa, he's riding
You can't see King
That man is searching
Got to fight his anger
Find in his eyes
Sure to find that killer
Looking for the man
His name was King (his name was King)
He had a horse (he had a brother)
Along the countryside
I saw him ride
He had a gun
Oh, I knew him well
And when he shot
Oh that man, he never missed
Ride on King, ride
You get your man
The song "Lo Chiamavano King" by Edda Dell Orso tells the story of a man named King who is seeking revenge for the death of his brother. King is depicted as a rugged but just character who is determined to find and punish the man responsible for his brother's death. The opening lines of the song introduce King as a figure of power, riding his horse along the countryside with his gun at the ready. The singer reveals that she knew King and heard him singing, conveying a sense of familiarity and intimacy with the character.
As the song progresses, it becomes clear that King's brother was murdered in cold blood, and King has sworn to seek out the killer and bring him to justice. The lyrics describe King as a man consumed with anger and vengeance as he searches for the culprit. The chorus repeats the phrase "His name was King, he had a brother" over and over again, emphasizing the importance of family and loyalty in King's quest for revenge.
Despite his vengeful nature, King is portrayed as a just and honorable man who will stop at nothing to bring the killer to justice. The song evokes the classic themes of the Western genre, with King as the hero seeking to avenge the death of his brother and restore order to the lawless frontier.
Overall, "Lo Chiamavano King" is a powerful and evocative portrait of a man on a mission, filled with vivid imagery and emotional intensity.

I absolutely fell in love with the character of King Schulz. He is the sort of guy who could have had his own movies. Part 1,2, 3 and so on. Plus with a bounty hunter in the times of the civil war you could come up with infinite stories. I would never have enough of Dr. Schulz. What a guy!!
@Snotlingfondler
Django is set before the civil war abs he obviously dies in the film so he wouldn't be around during the civil war
@iwantmynametobeaslongaspos7194
@Snotlingfondler Django could be in the movie then both are great characters imo
@Joetino
Tarantino casually makes the most badass characters imaginable (Mr. White, Schultz, Warren, etc.)
@mrrgrrgrrcinematicuniverse5522
yeah sorry he doesn't survive to the civil war
@mrrgrrgrrcinematicuniverse5522
as badass as it would be for King Schultz to gun down confederates. Maybe he took part in the fighting in Bleeding Kansas and killed the pre-war confederates there? His backstory is such a mystery you can just fill in the gaps yourself
@Dolan1337
Django had the best soundtrack
