Well I’m a-going get me some rockin’ shoes
And then I’m going to rock away all my blues
I’m a rockin’ daddy, yeah a rockin’ daddy
I’m a rockin’ daddy from Ding Dong Tennessee
Well I told little mama if she’d be good
We’d stay up and rock all night
We’re rockin’ daddy, yeah rockin’ daddy
I’m a rockin’ daddy with my brand new rockin’ shoes
Well I told little mama she could hold me tight
We’d stay up and rock all night
I’m a rockin’ daddy, yeah a rockin’ daddy
I’m a rockin’ daddy from Ding Dong Tennessee

Eddie Bond was friends with the chief of police in my hometown, Clarksdale, Mississippi. And he used to play around town when I was a kid. I saw him at an outdoor concert in a parking lot once.👏🏻👏🏻

I had the pleasure of having a beer with Reggie.He was on tour with Joe Stampley & Faron Young. My friend Gordon Terry was playing with the group.I walked down to the bandstand to say hi to Gordie & thats when I met Reggie.We walked up to the beer garden, talked & had a great time.Never got to see him again.I followed his music & still do. Rest in peace Reg,you were the best. ~Nick~

Great guitar player Reggie Young RIP When I heard this kind of stuff as a kid I knew I wanted to be a guitar player that rockabilly reverb twang still gets me.

I don't think that a lot of people today realize how important the sheer 'sound' of the music was to the music itself back then. Cliff Gallup's percussive solos on "Be Bop A Lula" are a perfect example of that.
@ajsmith5295
Rest in peace Reggie young who also played guitar on Suspicious Minds Elvis Presley
