Hallelujah I Love Her So
Eddie Cochran Lyrics
Let me tell you about a girl I know
She's my baby and I love her so
Every morning when the sun comes up
She brings me coffee in my favorite cup
That's why I know, yes I know
Hallelujah, I just love her so
If I call her on the telephone
"Say, baby, Eddie's all alone"
By the time you count one-to-four
In the evening when the sun goes down
And there ain't nobody else around
She kisses me and she holds me tight
Says "Eddie baby, everything's all right"
That's how I know, yes, I know
Hallelujah I just love her so
Lemme tell you baby, in the evening when the sun goes down
And there ain't nobody else around
She kisses me and then she holds me tight
Says "Eddie baby, everything's swingin'"
That's how I know, yes, I know
Hallelujah I just love her so
Hallelujah I just love her so
Hallelujah I just love her so
Hey, darlin', hallelujah
I just love that chick so

Hallelujah, I just love her so

"Say, baby, Eddie's all alone"
By the time you count one-to-four
She'll be on my door, well
In the evening when the sun goes down
And there ain't nobody else around
She kisses me and she holds me tight
Says "Eddie baby, everything's all right"
That's how I know, yes, I know

Cover of Ray Charles 1956 debut single. Demoed by the early Beatles in 1960. Covered by the Animals in 1964(?). All 3 and the original are in my "Beatles covers and uncovers 2" playlist. Thanks for the upload!

Eddie does 'Big Band' music really well!

I never knew he did this song. This is pretty good.

@surfinwax58 wilson "What'd I Say" was another Eddie brought here, that'd end up being a staple of many a British group, and a really important one for the likes of the Liverpool bands playing long stints in Germany as they could really stretch it out, jamming, and involving the audience. The Big Three did a live version that featured on their Decca EP "Live At The Cavern"

Eddie Cochran introduced the music of Ray Charles to the English and took them to his school of rock and roll.
