Oh, my Pa-pa, to me he was so good
No one could be so gentle and so lovable
Oh, my Pa-pa, he always understood
Gone are the days when he could take me on his knee
And with a smile he'd change my tears to laughter
Always the clown, so funny in his ways
Oh, my Pa-pa, to me he was so wonderful
Deep in my heart I miss him so today
Gone are the days when he could take me on his knee
And with a smile he'd change my tears to laughter
Oh, my Pa-pa, to me he was so wonderful
Deep in my heart I miss him so today
Oh, my Pa-pa
Oh, my Pa-pa
The song "Oh! My Papa" by Eddie Fisher is a touching tribute to a father who was dearly loved and missed by his son. The lyrics express the deep affection and admiration the singer had for his father who was always kind, caring, and understanding. The song reflects on the memories of the past when the father would comfort the child and bring joy to his life. However, now that time has passed, the father is no longer around, and the singer misses him terribly.
The lyrics specifically mention that the father was "so gentle and lovable" and "always understood" the singer. It's also said that he was "funny and adorable" and would make the child laugh even when he felt sad. The father was someone who would always be there for the son and would bring warm memories to his heart. Eddie Fisher sings about how he longs to go back in time to relive those moments with his dad when he could sit on his knee and share his joys and sorrows.
Overall, the song is a beautiful tribute to the unconditional love a father can give to his child, and it captures the emotions of longing and love that are so familiar to anyone who has ever lost someone as dear to them as a parent.

F is for Family has to be the most real animated show I've ever seen. It just always finds a way to hook me and wait for another season by capturing true moments in life that many shows don't.

At least you finally found it in your heart to own up to everything and make things right with your family even if it was just for a short talk. Now, we have to look for someone else who can sell ice to Eskimos.
And to Frank, "attaboy".
Now it's time to wait for another season. It'll be worth it.
