Chucky looks the scariest in this and his face looks so realistic. In the second and third films, he doesn't really look that scary at all. He looks more like a typical doll but in this one, he looks very realistic with his facial male human hair.

For the sequels it actually makes sense to why he looks more doll like because aside from the metal endoskeleton skull, nothing was reused to rebuild him from the original doll when he was becoming human and everytime he died or got blown up and had to be rebuilt, new doll parts where used to rebuild him. Plastic surgery at it's finest for Chucky (pun intended). But i do agree him slowly progressing into a creepy doll sized man he was at his scariest. He also didnt utlize the funny angry pint sized killer act but acted as a killer losing his patience as well as his mind going against the clock because he didn't want to be trapped in doll form.

You know this may be a controversial opinion, but the original Chucky is my favorite interpretation of the character. Yeah he’s not a jokey one liner spewing cartoon character doll who kills people, but he feels the most human here. Think about it, he’s a crook who tried to weasel his way out of death by possessing a doll, then being in that doll in first place becomes his punishment. This is why the first Child’s Play will always hold a special place in my heart. It was a slasher film that tried to tell a good & genuinely interesting story.

Man Chucky looked great here. I wish they kept this look in all the other movies. He looked more realistic, with real eyebrows and creepy light blue eyes with tiny pupils. Eyes like they were almost piercing into your soul. He really looked alive and evil in this movie without having to make too many angry face expressions.

When I was little (probably 10, 11, or 12) I remember watching the first 3 films on Netflix. I love them. I know sequels usually get a bad rep, and maybe it's just nostalgia..but man, I love the first 3. To be honest...everything after 3 wasn't HORRENDOUS...but definitely not as charming. Like the bride and Chucky's son. I remember someone actually made Chuck vs the Leprechaun, which was bizarre, but cool. Also, it was a fan film...well..actually..they basically edited scenes from each movie together and made it look like they were in the same place, and it was very well done. My favorite is probably 2, especially the end fight in the toy factory, but the first 3 are all sooo good!

Whenever Chucky moves, you can hear the plastic in the doll creaking and stretching, and his arms and head have a jerkiness to their motions.

He can easily transfer his soul into a doll. Meaning the soul is not bound to the flesh (human vessel) whatsoever. I was born in 84 so the first 3 will always be my favorites. 2019 version was ok too. Idk why but I always remember the guy voicing chuckie ( Brad Dourif) also was in a tales from the crypt episode with Bill Paxton Rip

I was 4 years old when Curse of Chucky came out so I wasn't here when original 3 was made😒 so i was here for curse of chucky:)
