Trio
Eddie and miss strict Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Once she dressed in silks and lace, Owned a Rolls Royce car
Now she seems quite out of place, like a fallen star
Draped around my kitchen sink , Happy as can be
I just have to stop and think, Why she fell for me.

I'm not much to look at, nothing to see
Just glad I'm livin' and lucky to be
I got a woman crazy for me
She's funny that way.

I can't save a dollar, ain't worth a cent
She doesn't holler she'd live in a tent
I got a woman crazy for me
She's funny that way.

Tho' she loves to work and slave for me ev'ry day
She'd be so much better off if I went away.

But why should I leave her, why should I go
She'd be unhappy without me I know
I got a woman crazy for me
She's funny that way.

She should have the very best, Anyone can see
Still she's diff'rent from the rest, satisfied with me.
While I worry plan and scheme, Over what to do
Can't help feeling it's a dream, Too good to be true.

Never had nothin'; no one to care
That's why I seem to have more than my share,
I got a woman, crazy for me,
She's funny that way.

When I hurt her feelings, once in a while,
Her only answer is one little smile,
I got a woman crazy for me.
She's funny that way.

I can see no other way and no better plan,
End it all and let her go to some better man;
But I'm only human, coward at best
I'm more than certain she'd follow me west,

I got a woman crazy for me,
She's funny that way.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Eddie and Miss Strict's song "Trio" tell the story of a man who is amazed that he has found love with a woman who seems to be too good for him. The woman he sings about was once rich and glamorous, owning a Rolls Royce car and dressing in luxurious silks and lace. Now, she is content to be draped around his kitchen sink while he is left wondering why she chose him. He considers himself lucky to have her, even though he has nothing to offer her materially. Despite this, the woman loves him unconditionally and seems to be happy just being with him. He muses about how she is different from other women who would want the best for themselves, while she is satisfied simply being with him.

The man admits that he sometimes hurts her feelings, but her only response is a smile, which he finds both endearing and humbling. At times, he contemplates leaving her because he feels that she deserves someone better than him, someone who can provide her with the best things in life. However, he is too cowardly to do so because he knows that she would follow him wherever he goes. The song ends with him acknowledging that he doesn't understand why she loves him but is grateful for it nonetheless.

Overall, the lyrics of "Trio" are a poignant and heartfelt tribute to the power of love, which can bridge even the widest of gaps between people. It is a reminder that love is not always about material possessions or physical beauty but about the connection two people share with each other.

This channel is among my favorite ❤️🌹🌹, always on point with life experience people go through ,

Most pastors now days 😢😢😢, they take advantage of the situation, pastor Sam told Janet that David is not her husband, so she needs a powerful prayful man of God like she's in God 😂😂😂😂,

I knew this man was about something before even watching to the end.

Joe really wanted his friend to deserve himself and yet he knew the truth How the pastor took advantage to David's wife.

Pastor's wife 😂😂😂

David made a great decision, by not letting her back.

Great movie with great lessons learnt 💪👊

Eddie watson, Mercy Isoyip and the entire cast acted so perfectly

Excellent performance by Eddie, Mercy and the rest of the cast. No matter what happens in life, being honest is always the best policy. David held his ground when confronted with the truth about his wife and the pastor. The belittling and disrespect he suffered at the hand's of his wife, the betrayal from his best friend, his manager "accusing" him for the collapse of the company....why will David not feel 'cursed" As always Eddie nailed his delivery.
