Born Edmond Montague Gr… Read Full Bio ↴Eddy Grant (b. 1948) is a Guyanese musician.
Born Edmond Montague Grant on the 5th March 1948 in Plaisance, Guyana, he emigrated with parents to London, England when he was still young. As a teenager he formed the multi-racial group The Equals. He sported dyed blonde hair, and had his first million-selling number-one hit in 1968, when he was the lead guitarist and main songwriter with his song "Baby Come Back". Grant openly used his songwriting for political purposes, as in " Police on My Back", and later "Gimme Hope Jo'anna" about the then-current apartheid regime of South Africa.
By the early 1980s Grant released Killer on the Rampage, using MTV exposure to have big hits in the U.S., the U.K., and Australia with the '80s techno reggae of "Electric Avenue", and following that up with the title song for the successful 1984 film Romancing the Stone. The album Walking on Sunshine produced the popular tracks "I Don't Wanna Dance" and "Gimme Hope Jo'anna".
Grant owns and operates a leading recording studio called Blue Wave in Barbados, near St Lawrence Gap, and it has hosted some of the world's top recording artists and producers over the years. He has produced music for the likes of Sting, Mick Jagger, and Elvis Costello.

Now I know what it's all about
You took my heart and split it up
Now you know what it's all about
How do you feel my love?
Do you feel it as I walk away?
How do you feel my love?
Who knows what kind of pity for
Excuse you from yourself
To justify the misery
That you put yourself within
How do you feel my love?
(Ay? My?)
Do you feel it as I walk away?
How do you feel my love?
Do you feel it as I walk away?
Need to find myself all that I've got left
Used up, ooh, I'm used up
Need to cry but still got to show my will
Been used too much
How do you feel my love?
Oh, child, do you feel it as I walk away?
How do you feel my love?
Oh, oh, oh, child, do you feel it as I walk away?
Need to find myself all that I've got left
Used up, ooh, I'm used up
Need to cry but still got to show my will
I've been used too much
How do you feel my love?
Do you feel it as I walk away?
How do you feel my love?
Do you feel it as I walk away?
How do you feel my love?
Do you feel it as I walk away?
How do you feel my love?
Do you feel it as I walk away?
The lyrics of Eddy Grant's song Killer on the Rampage express a feeling of loss and betrayal in a relationship. The opening lines suggest that the singer has been left with a problem after their heart has been split in two. The chorus poses a question to the object of their affection - how do you feel my love? - and wonders if they feel the same pain and sadness as they walk away. The second verse suggests that the person who left may have been trying to justify their actions with some kind of excuse or pity, but that ultimately they have caused themselves misery as well.
The song's final lines suggest that the singer is searching for a way to move on from the hurt they've experienced, even though they feel they've been "used up" by the relationship. The repeated refrain of "How do you feel my love?" implies that the singer is seeking a sense of closure or understanding from the person who hurt them, but also that they may never truly know the answer.
Overall, this song is a melancholy reflection on the pain of losing someone we love and the difficulty of moving on from that loss. The lyrics offer a window into the complex and often contradictory emotions that arise in the aftermath of a breakup, from anger and betrayal to sadness and self-doubt.

Lyrics:
There's a killer on the rampage
Don't feel no fear
Can't kill my love for you, a-hoo
Don't feel no fear
Killer on the rampage
Don't feel no fear
Can't kill my love for you, a-hoo
Don't feel no fear
Trying to get near, but don't you worry
Words out on the street, got his eyes on you
Trying to get there, but don't you worry
So I thought I'd let you know
I thought I'd let you know
There's a killer on the rampage
Don't feel no fear
Can't kill my love for you, a-hoo
Don't feel no fear
Killer on the rampage
Don't feel no fear
Can't kill my love for you, a-hoo
Don't feel no fear
Absolutely clear, but don't you worry
Ain't gonna let you go in a hurry
Even if it comes to a showdown
Well, I gotta let you know
I'm gonna fight him tooth and nail
