Music has taken the young members of Edens Edge on an intriguing journey and they are thankful for the ride. “We’ve really grown up together and we’ve moved here and created a life together and I think that kind of history is organic,” says Dean. “We came together naturally-- just for the purpose of having fun and playing music. That’s part our chemistry- we’re all doing something that we love together.”
Cherrill and Hannah agree. “We’ve grown together and changed together,” says Cherrill while Hannah adds, “We’ve found or have written music that moves us and inspires us. We just trust that the music will speak for itself. You do what you do and hope people will love it and can connect with it because our first love--as much as we love playing and writing music--our first love is inspiring others through music.”
Too Good to Be True was released in April 2012 as the group's second single, and their self-titled debut album was released via Big Machine Records on June 12, 2012.
In March 2013, it was announced that Edens Edge had parted ways with Big Machine Records and that member Hannah Blaylock had left the band.

Shoulda stopped for gas ten miles ago
Back in Prairie Grove
And now we're stuck and just our luck
And it's too hot to say, "I told you so"
But I told you so
As I recall, my Uncle Paul
There's no iced tea, no A-C
I guess we'll just have to cool off naturally
Close your eyes, uh-uh, no peekin'
Are you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'
Wanna go oh oh oh oh?
Sweet temptation in the cool blue water
Probably shouldn't but I think we oughta
Go oh oh oh oh oh oh
It ain't no thing
Pretty sure it ain't no sin
Let's go skinny dippin'
You're a boy and I'm a girl
But I ain't scared to give it a whirl
If you're not
We can hang our clothes on a big oak tree
Let's just hope nobody sees
But if they do, so what
You say one, I'll say two
Right on three, just me and you in our birthday suits
Close your eyes, uh-uh, no peekin'
Are you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'
Wanna go oh oh oh oh?
Sweet temptation in the cool blue water
Probably shouldn't but I think we oughta
Go oh oh oh oh oh oh
It ain't no thing
Pretty sure it ain't no sin
Let's go skinny dippin'
Birds and bees and frogs are free
You should come along with me
Oh, close your eyes, uh-uh, no peekin'
Are you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?
Wanna go oh oh oh oh?
Sweet temptation in the cool blue water
Probably shouldn't but I think we oughta
Go oh oh oh oh oh oh
It ain't no thing
Pretty sure it ain't no sin
Who's gonna know
When we got dry clothes?
Let's go skinny dippin'

The song ‘Skinny Dippin’ by Edens Edge tells the story of two young lovers who get stuck on their way to a destination because they did not stop for gas when they needed to. In order to cool off, they decide to take a dip in a nearby swimming hole that was suggested by the singer’s Uncle Paul. The couple hesitates at first about taking their clothes off but ultimately decide to do so and go skinny-dipping in the cool blue water. The song captures the playful and carefree nature of young love and the adventurous spirit that comes with it.
The lyrics of the song are very descriptive in portraying the events of the story. The opening lines of the song are a warning from the singer that they should have stopped for gas earlier, but did not, implying that the couple is not very responsible. However, the singer quickly disregards that and instead suggests going skinny-dipping as a way of cooling off, showing their spontaneous nature. The song also highlights the gender dynamics between the two characters, with the singer being more open to the idea while the other partner needs persuasion. Ultimately, the two find a compromise and have the time of their lives, forgetting about all their problems.
