Music has taken the young members of Edens Edge on an intriguing journey and they are thankful for the ride. “We’ve really grown up together and we’ve moved here and created a life together and I think that kind of history is organic,” says Dean. “We came together naturally-- just for the purpose of having fun and playing music. That’s part our chemistry- we’re all doing something that we love together.”
Cherrill and Hannah agree. “We’ve grown together and changed together,” says Cherrill while Hannah adds, “We’ve found or have written music that moves us and inspires us. We just trust that the music will speak for itself. You do what you do and hope people will love it and can connect with it because our first love--as much as we love playing and writing music--our first love is inspiring others through music.”
Too Good to Be True was released in April 2012 as the group's second single, and their self-titled debut album was released via Big Machine Records on June 12, 2012.
In March 2013, it was announced that Edens Edge had parted ways with Big Machine Records and that member Hannah Blaylock had left the band.

You made me try it on and everything
Tomorrow you'll both say I do
And I'll be there 'cause that's what best friends do
I should win an Oscar
Best actress in a show
You always see me smiling
Little do you know
I'm a liar
I'm a liar, the biggest liar in the world
I'm crying
I'm crying like I've never cried before
I know you always heard me say
You'll meet the perfect girl one day
The night you called and told me the news
I said I couldn't be more thrilled for you
This might be funny timing
Probably doesn't matter now
I never thought I'd say this but I just figured out
I'm a liar
I'm a liar, the biggest liar in the world
I'm crying
I'm crying like I've never cried before
If I ever tell you that I've found the perfect man
That he's everything I've ever wanted just as I had planned
I'm a liar
I'm a liar, the biggest liar in the world
'Cause I'll be crying
I'll be crying like I've never cried before
I helped you find her diamond ring
You made me try it on and everything
In Edens Edge's song "Liar," the singer expresses her deepest feelings of betrayal and heartbreak as she watches her best friend whom she's always been there for get married to another woman. The song opens with the singer stating that she helped her best friend find the engagement ring for his fiancée and even tried it on herself. She then goes on to say that despite her own feelings, she'll still be there to stand by her best friend on his wedding day because that's what best friends do. The chorus then reveals the bigger conflict as she admits to being the biggest liar in the world, pretending to be happy but crying inside.
The singer then recalls being supportive of her best friend in finding the "perfect" woman but confesses that she said these words with her fingers crossed. Later on, the singer reveals that she herself has never found the perfect man as she promised her best friend would happen. The song then ends with a repetition of the chorus, emphasizing the pain and guilt she feels for pretending to be happy and for lying to herself and others.
Overall, "Liar" speaks to how we often hide our true emotions and pretend to be fine for the sake of others, even if it hurts us in the process. The song shows how much inner turmoil and heartbreak a person can go through while still putting on a brave face, and how sometimes the biggest liar is oneself.
