Edgewater is lead singer Matt Moseman, guitarists Micah Creel and Justin "Shorty" Middleton, drummer Jeremy "Worm" Rees, and former Nixons bassist Ricky "Honky Mofo" Wolking.
Edgewater gained notoriety in 2004 after being signed to Wind-up Records and having a lead single on the Punisher Movie Soundtrack and movie credits. The bands single "Eyes wired Shut" was also featured as the theme music for WWE Backlash 2004.
2005, after being told by Wind-up executives that 'rock is dead' and told to change their sound, the band bravely departed the label to work independently. So far in 2006, Edgewater has released their new album "We're Not Robots..." locally to a healthy fan base and started a distribution partnership with Rock Ridge Records/Warner for releasing the album nationally in August.
Edgewater officially disbanded in 2007. Matt Moseman later became the lead singer of June Halo. Micah Creel is often seen on the road with the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (BRMC) and STP. Jeremy 'worm' Rees is spending much deserved time with his wife and beautiful daughter.
In late December 2016, Moseman died in his sleep of an apparent heart failure. He was married and had 3 sons. On March 16, 2017, a memorial live show was held in Texas to celebrate his life. At the service, the surviving band members performed Edgewater songs with guest vocalists.

Falling faster, falling deep
Drowning in their expectations
Take a step back and you'll see
Step away, and separate
Separate the apples from oranges
Step away, and separate
Disconnect the wires that feed you
Unannounced, just come clean
Strip away from what they made you
You will find what's underneath
Step away, and separate
Separate the apples from oranges
Step away, and separate
Separate the clean from distorted
Disconnect the wires that lead you
Open your eyes before your time flies away
Open your eyes before your time flies away
Please don't judge me, there's no reason
Don't misjudge yourself, there's no reason
Disconnect yourself from the reason
Step away, and separate
Step away, and separate
Separate the clean from distorted
Disconnect the wires that lead you
Open your eyes 'cause it's your time
Separate
Separate
Separate
Separate
Separate
In the song "Apples & Oranges" by Edgewater, the singer is giving the listener advice. The first verse describes a feeling of being overwhelmed and drowning in expectations. The singer suggests that the listener step back and look at their situation objectively. The chorus encourages the listener to "separate the apples from oranges" and "separate the clean from distorted." This could be interpreted as a call to distinguish what is important from what is less important, and to separate truth from falsehood.
The second verse continues this theme of disconnecting from outside influences. The singer advises the listener to "disconnect the wires that feed you" and to "strip away from what they made you." This is a call to shed the expectations and pressures that others have placed on you, and to find your own identity. The bridge emphasizes the importance of self-reflection: "Open your eyes before your time flies away." The song ends with a repetition of the word "separate," driving home the message of the importance of distinguishing truth from falsehood and creating your own identity.
Overall, "Apples & Oranges" is a song about finding yourself and breaking free from external pressures. The lyrics encourage the listener to take a step back and look at their life objectively, and to separate truth from falsehood.
