Edgewater is lead singer Matt Moseman, guitarists Micah Creel and Justin "Shorty" Middleton, drummer Jeremy "Worm" Rees, and former Nixons bassist Ricky "Honky Mofo" Wolking.
Edgewater gained notoriety in 2004 after being signed to Wind-up Records and having a lead single on the Punisher Movie Soundtrack and movie credits. The bands single "Eyes wired Shut" was also featured as the theme music for WWE Backlash 2004.
2005, after being told by Wind-up executives that 'rock is dead' and told to change their sound, the band bravely departed the label to work independently. So far in 2006, Edgewater has released their new album "We're Not Robots..." locally to a healthy fan base and started a distribution partnership with Rock Ridge Records/Warner for releasing the album nationally in August.
Edgewater officially disbanded in 2007. Matt Moseman later became the lead singer of June Halo. Micah Creel is often seen on the road with the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (BRMC) and STP. Jeremy 'worm' Rees is spending much deserved time with his wife and beautiful daughter.
In late December 2016, Moseman died in his sleep of an apparent heart failure. He was married and had 3 sons. On March 16, 2017, a memorial live show was held in Texas to celebrate his life. At the service, the surviving band members performed Edgewater songs with guest vocalists.
Lifter
Edgewater Lyrics

And it's simple and It's gentle I found
Down a road less traveled and I feel my conscience running deep
And it's simple but it's mental I found
And I'm never looking back
No I'm never looking back
No I'm never looking back again
We all fall down
Time keeps changing
We all will hit the ground
Down a road less traveled, and I see my world beneath my wings
And it's simple but it's crippled I found
Down a road less traveled…
The opening lines of Edgewater's "Lifter," describe a journey to a place of clarity and purpose, one that is not easily found or taken for granted. The lyrics, "Down a road less traveled," metaphorically depict the challenge of navigating through uncertainties and hardships, and the resulting resilience it creates. The author finds that the answer or purpose lies within themselves, something that is, "simple but mental," meaning that the answer is not obvious, but rather has taken some introspective work to find it.
The chorus emphasizes the idea that the author is moving forward, without hesitation or regret. They have found the motivation or the "lift" they need to move on and are determined to stay on that path. However, the line, "We all fall down," adds a layer of realism to the song. Despite the newfound clarity or purpose, life remains unpredictable and we can all expect to hit rock bottom at some point.
The overall message of "Lifter" is one of perseverance, hope, and self-discovery. The author highlights the importance of taking a road that isn't easy, and finding oneself through the journey. In finding oneself, the author also finds the strength and motivation to move forward and stay on track.

Gorgeous. A band that did the most with what it had (little exposure besides a spot on The Punisher soundtrack) and faded away on its terms. If I ever foray into music, that's how I want to do it.

Love this track. And this album. Really was a shame they didn't get more love. So glad I caught them live with Three Days Grace oh so many moons ago. That was a helluva show.
