Edgewater is lead singer Matt Moseman, guitarists Micah Creel and Justin "Shorty" Middleton, drummer Jeremy "Worm" Rees, and former Nixons bassist Ricky "Honky Mofo" Wolking.
Edgewater gained notoriety in 2004 after being signed to Wind-up Records and having a lead single on the Punisher Movie Soundtrack and movie credits. The bands single "Eyes wired Shut" was also featured as the theme music for WWE Backlash 2004.
2005, after being told by Wind-up executives that 'rock is dead' and told to change their sound, the band bravely departed the label to work independently. So far in 2006, Edgewater has released their new album "We're Not Robots..." locally to a healthy fan base and started a distribution partnership with Rock Ridge Records/Warner for releasing the album nationally in August.
Edgewater officially disbanded in 2007. Matt Moseman later became the lead singer of June Halo. Micah Creel is often seen on the road with the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (BRMC) and STP. Jeremy 'worm' Rees is spending much deserved time with his wife and beautiful daughter.
In late December 2016, Moseman died in his sleep of an apparent heart failure. He was married and had 3 sons. On March 16, 2017, a memorial live show was held in Texas to celebrate his life. At the service, the surviving band members performed Edgewater songs with guest vocalists.

We're all alone again
Led by a sound
No, we're not giving in
They want us to change
They want us to fall in place
But, we're going to make some waves
You're trying to break us down
This shit is going to save us
F**k this
You're trying to wind us down
Winding down
Winding down
Falling out of focus
Bring it back to life
We'll give it away
We're giving it all away
We're going to make some waves
F**k this
You're trying to break us down
This shit is going to save us
F**k this
You're trying to break us down
This shit is going to save us
Now I'm back to the ground
Back to the ground
Back to the ground
Back to the ground
I was told that rock was dead
I don't believe it
I was told that rock was dead
I won't believe it
F**k this
You're trying to break us down
This shit is going to save us
F**k this
You're trying to break us down
This shit is going to save us
F**k this
You're trying to break us down
This shit is going to save us
F**k this
You're trying to break us down
This shit is going to save us
Don't want to believe it
Not gonna believe it
Can't you see that I need it?
So f**k how you see it
Rock!
Rock!
Rock!
Rock!
The lyrics of Edgewater's song Rock is Dead is about the singer or the band's stance about the supposed death of rock music. The opening lines “Back to the ground, we’re all alone again, led by a sound, no we’re not giving in” set the tone of the song, which is defiance. The lyrics go on about resistance to change and not falling in place, which can be interpreted as the changing landscape of the music industry, and the pressure to follow suit. The chorus has a profanity-filled line which says, "F**k this, you're trying to break us down, this shit is going to save us," which is the singer or the band's way of saying that they will not be affected by the changes and that the idea that rock music is dead is not true.
The latter part of the lyrics, "I was told that rock was dead, I won't believe it," is the affirmation of the singer or the band's conviction that rock music is still alive, and they are determined to keep it that way. The repetition of the word “rock” at the end emphasizes their stand that rock music is not dead and is here to stay.
Overall, the lyrics of Edgewater's song Rock is Dead is about the struggle of staying true to oneself and one’s music despite the changes in the industry and pressure to conform. It is the band's statement that rock music is not dead, and they are determined to keep it alive.
