Much ado about nothing
Edson Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

When you're paranoid and beyond
Every sign of recognition, I respond
With misplaced attacks and despair
In a cautious voice I ask you to beware

When I'm paranoid and beyond
Every sign of recognition, you respond
With some dirty words and despair
In a vicious voice you ask me to beware

All hell's breaking loose (Unfair and untrue)
All hell's breaking loose (I'm just like you)
Way too much ado
About nothing and I wish you knew

When you're paralysed to a frown
And you're twisting every word I say around
When I speak the truth and you say
That I'm better off without you anyway

All hell's breaking loose (Unfair and untrue)
All hell's breaking loose (I'm just like you)
Way too much ado
About nothing and I wish you knew

Do you remember how?
We got started, what I said and why?
Do you remember when?
Think of it and think again

All hell's breaking loose (Unfair and untrue)
All hell's breaking loose (I'm just like you)

Way too much ado
About nothing and I wish you knew

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Edson's "Much Ado About Nothing" explore the theme of paranoia and miscommunication in a relationship. The song captures the frustration that comes with feeling misunderstood and the destructive patterns that arise when we don't communicate effectively. The opening lines of the chorus, "When you're paranoid and beyond, every sign of recognition, I respond with misplaced attacks and despair", reveal the singer's tendency to react defensively when they feel their partner isn't understanding them. The following lines, "In a cautious voice, I ask you to beware", further emphasize the singer's insecurity and the way it affects their communication.

The second verse continues with the same theme of miscommunication, but this time from the perspective of the partner. The singer shares how they feel when their partner responds with "some dirty words and despair" and "a vicious voice". It highlights how both parties are struggling to effectively communicate their feelings and needs in the relationship.

The repetition of the chorus, "All hell's breaking loose...Way too much ado about nothing and I wish you knew", expresses the frustration and desperation that comes with feeling stuck in a cycle of miscommunication. Overall, the song shows the importance of effective communication and the destructive nature of paranoia in relationships.

My own dad took my knee out during a karate class back in 1998. I was 16 years old at the time. He took me to the hospital which we both wore our gi to, basically to ensure the doctor knew this was an accident during a class and not just a dad being abusive. He got a hell of a chewing out by my mom though! Lol Nothing was broken, but after that incident, family members were no longer allowed to pair up for sparring or grappling.

Sounds like dad of the year.

Leg kicks are no joke. The first time I fought a Thai fighter in the ‘80’s I threw a high kick and he countered with a kick to the inside if my thigh. My inside thigh immediately went numb. And yes they feel like baseball bats or steel rods smashing into your kegs. I limped for a week after that bought and learned a lot.

That only happen if youre a non trained fighter that thinks he can go 100% in his first sparring.

SubZeRoy9

Wow tough guy.

My worst injury ever sparing was from a leg kick. I took a spinning back kick to the quad and could not walk without a limp for months.

@SonicArtZ l Designer Clan So all these fighters in the video are not trained fighters?

Leg kicks are all fun and games until you see what happened to silva and Weidman.

Meta Meech

That's cause silva was being lazy with his leg kick due to arrogance
