I'm going half crazy trying to find the CORRECT lyrics to this song, lol. The lyrics in this video, as well as many other lyric videos on here are absolutely WRONG. And Wikipedia and Google are no help either, here's what I'm hearing for the first verse:
"There is a flower within my heart
Daisy, Daisy
Planted one day by a PASSING dart
Planted by Daisy Bell
Whether she loves me or loves me not
Sometimes it's hard to tell
Lovers quite don't mean who cares a lot
But can it with Daisy Bell"?
Comment below if you're hearing something different, please help me solve this! There is no way he is saying "glancing dart" and he definitely does not say "Yet I am longing to share the lot of beautiful Daisy Bell" like people suggest in other lyric videos. 🙄
@Robotiksbun
There is a flower within my heart
Daisy, Daisy
Planted one day by a glancing dart
Planted by Daisy Bell
Whether she loves me or loves me not
Sometimes it's hard to tell
Yet I am longing to share the lot
A beautiful Daisy Bell
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do
I'm half crazy all for the love of you
It won't be a stylish marriage
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do
I'm half crazy all for the love of you
It won't be a stylish marriage
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two
We will go tandem as man and wife
Daisy, Daisy
Peddling away down the road of life
I and my Daisy Bell
When the road's dark, we can both despise
Policemen and lamps as well
There are bright lights in the dazzling eyes
Of beautiful Daisy Bell
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do
I'm half crazy all for the love of you
It won't be a stylish marriage
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do
I'm half crazy all for the love of you
It won't be a stylish marriage
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two
I will stand by you in weal or woe, Daisy, Daisy
You'll be the bell witch I'll ring, you'll know
Sweet little Daisy Bell
You'll take the lead in each trip we take
Then if I don't do well
I will permit you to use the brake
My beautiful little Daisy Bell
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do
I'm half crazy all for the love of you
It won't be a stylish marriage
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do
I'm half crazy all for the love of you
It won't be a stylish marriage
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two
@Robotiksbun
Tiptoe through the window
By the window, that is where I'll be
Come tiptoe through the tulips with me
Oh, tiptoe from the garden
By the garden of the willow tree
And tiptoe through the tulips with me
Knee deep in flowers we'll stray
We'll keep the showers away
And if I kiss you in the garden, in the moonlight
Will you pardon me?
And tiptoe through the tulips with me
Maybe it's flowers you stray will be the showers of life
And when I kiss you in the garden in the moonlight
Will you pardon me and tiptoe through the tulips with me?

We are hearing a beautiful song, sung a hundred and twenty six years ago.
The lack of awareness by many commenters here is depressing.
@thejewelledparrot2818
The combination of it being an obviously cheerful song and the audio quality being affected by time is what makes it creepy. Acknowledging that the song in its current state makes you uncomfortable is not a sign of a lack of awareness, and it does not make you a more intelligent or 'cultured' person just because you appreciate the song being old.
@alecman95
The lack of brain in your comment is even more so
@khataclysmical4539
Indeed!
@bogglerful
@thejewelledparrot If this song makes someone "uncomfortable," then that person needs to get out more. Neurotic ignorant snowflakes will be the death of this civilization.
@tomaandkile
This was one of the first songs to use artificial voice modification. It was probably creepy to people back then too because it's uncanny valley. It's normal to be made uncomfortable by uncanny valley, especially when its this degraded. We can respect the song and appreciate how amazing it is to still have it without finding the song soothing.
@KingKamidereSama
My names actually Daisy Bell :)
The name never fit me, for a long time I hated it, but my father used to sing me this song. He even had a tandem bike. I miss the people we were back then
@natemations237
Aw that's cute.
@strawberry9218
Wow your lucky to have a very beautiful name to a song!
@daisybellthompson-munn8682
mine too!
