Going down, on her town.
She looks out the window,
Sky is red, snow has turned to brown.
And no one seems to know,
About the girl on the fifteenth floor,
This close to letting go.
She thinks she's all alone,
She don't know that I'm right here.
And no one understands,
No one takes her hand.
She don't know that I'm right here.
Public transportation,
It gets her where she needs to be.
I'm running for the bus stop,
But the doors close, and pull away.
Her sad eyes don't see me.
And no one seems to know,
About the girl in the fifteenth row,
This close to letting go.
She thinks she's all alone,
Her heart has turned to stone.
She don't know that I'm right here.
And no one understands,
No one gives a damn.
She don't know that I'm right here.
She don't seem to know,
In this ugly world, someone things she's beautiful...
Beautiful...
She thinks she's all alone,
Her heart has turned to stone,
She don't know that I'm right, I'm right here.
And no one understands,
No one takes her hand.
She don't know that I'm right here.
She thinks she's all alone,
Her heart has turned to stone.
She don't know that I'm right here.
She don't know that I'm right here
She don't know that I'm right here...
The song "Right Here" by Edwin is a melancholic ballad about a girl who is on the brink of giving up, but nobody seems to notice. The first stanza provides a vivid description of the scenery outside the girl's window - a cigarette sunset with the sky turning red and snow melting to brown. The singer emphasizes that no one seems to know about the girl on the fifteen floor, who is on the verge of ending it. The following stanzas outline the singer's struggle to connect with the girl, both physically and emotionally. The chorus keeps re-emphasizing that the girl doesn't know the singer is right there, ready to help her through her tough times.
As the song progresses, the audience learns that the girl is someone who is forgotten and left alone in the hustle and bustle of the city. Not only does the singer feel for her, but he also recognizes her beauty and individuality, amidst the ugliness of the world. The lyrics express a longing to reach out and help her, but she remains oblivious to his presence.
Overall, "Right Here" is an emotional plea to recognize and connect with people who might be struggling, alone, and forgotten in the chaos of daily life.
