Makes me wanna lose myself, in your arms
There's somethin' in your voice, makes my heart beat fast
Hope this feeling lasts, the rest of my life
If you knew how lonely my life has been
And how long I've been so alone
And if you knew how I wanted someone to come along
It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I come from
It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I belong
A window breaks, down a long, dark street
And a siren wails in the night
But I'm alright, 'cause I have you here with me
And I can almost see, through the dark there is light
Well, if you knew how much this moment means to me
And how long I've waited for your touch
And if you knew how happy you are making me
I never thought that I'd love anyone so much
It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way the back where I come from
It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I belong
It feels like I'm all the way back where I belong
The song "Feels Like Home" by Edwina Hayes is a beautiful love song that expresses the feeling of finding someone who makes life better. The lyrics in the first verse describe the way the singer feels about their lover. There is something in the person's eyes and voice that just draws the singer in, and they feel as though they could lose themselves in the embrace of this person. The second verse hints at the singer's past struggles with loneliness and wanting someone to come and change their life, and how the arrival of this new love has done just that.
The chorus of the song is where the true message of the song comes through. The singer claims that being with this person feels like home, as if they've been away and they've finally returned to the place where they belong. The imagery of a broken window and a siren wailing in the night adds to the feeling of uncertainty that comes with life, but the singer is comforted by the presence of their lover. The singer declares their love for this person and says that they never thought they could love anyone so much.
Overall, "Feels Like Home" is a touching song that captures the essence of finding love and feeling as though you've found a deep connection with someone who understands and accepts you. The lyrics are simple but powerful, and the melody complements them perfectly. It's a song that many people can relate to and one that will likely continue to be beloved for years to come.
