ee na moi na moi na moi na moi na moi na moi

The wise man builds his house on the rock
The foolish man builds his house on the sand
And when the rain came tumbling down
The foolish man house it washed away

How could the wise man build his house on the sand
How can the wise man build his house where there is no foundation,
on the sand woadi woi on the sand

Noah built his ark by the will of God
But see the wicked people ignores him
So he take all, all with himself

A pair, a pair of animal woi woi

Bird and cows and goat and horse
wowoy
Lions and tigers oh and zebra

How could the wise man build his house on the sand
How can the foolish man build his house en the rock
he ain't got no wisdom, woi woi no wisdom

take heed, my brother take heed
wowoy
The wise man builds his house on the rock, way
The foolish man builds his house on the sand oh yea
ee na moi na moi na moi na moi

ee na moi na moi na moi na moi

How could the wise man build his house on the sand
Where on the sand there is no foundation.

woy woy
woy wooooy
woy woy
ee na moi na moi na moi na moi

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Eek-A-Mouse's "Noah's Ark" appear to be a cautionary tale about the importance of building one's life on a solid foundation. The opening lines refer to the parable from the Bible in which a wise man builds his house on a rock and a foolish man builds his house on sand. The foolish man's house is destroyed by the rain, while the wise man's house remains unscathed. Eek-A-Mouse seems to be using this story as an analogy for the importance of having a firm foundation in life, whether that be in relationships, career, or personal development.

The song then shifts to the story of Noah's Ark from the Bible. Noah is portrayed as a righteous man who built the Ark under God's instruction, but the wicked people around him refuse to heed his warnings and are destroyed as a result. Noah takes pairs of various types of animals onto the Ark, emphasizing the importance of preservation and protection of life. The song then returns to the earlier theme, reminding listeners to take heed and build their lives on a strong foundation.

Overall, "Noah's Ark" seems to be a parable about the consequences of ignoring warning signs and failing to build one's life on a firm foundation. The song encourages listeners to be wise and heedful, taking action to protect and preserve what is important in life.

Roughly 15 years ago, me and a mate spent a night backstage with him and his band when they visited our home town club in Holland. We were basically gophers/errand boys, keeping them company and being around to provide anything they might need. We must have been roughly 18-20 years old back then.
Eek-A-Mouse was so nice to us, I just couldn't believe it! And his band too, which consisted (coincidentally) of mostly Dutch guys, as we soon found out.
We spent the evening smoking and playing tunes, and Eek-A showed us some of their newly recorded videos. One was a hilarious parody of 'MTV Cribs' that they had just recorded in a typical (tiny!) Dutch house of one of the band members ;)
As the start of their concert came closer, Eek-A pulled out a handsome white suit and moved to the ironing board in the backstage area. As a go-getter, this was clearly my chance, so I offered him: "can I iron your suit for you?" But Eek replied: "Nah man! Nobody touch my suit!!!" And progressed to iron it personally.
It was endearing to see a massive 2 meter tall, muscular dude ironing his suit with love and care :)

The concert that followed was fantastic...

We will never forget the great fun they gave us that night. Much love to Eek-A-Mouse and his band!

This song literally transports me to my early 20’s. The best times with my best friend of all time. We would drive down Westheimer in Houston, Tx blasting this at 1-2 in the morning. High as hell cruising. Damn those were the days. Simmi, I love you ❤️ so damn much. No one will ever know or relate.
