A holiday in the sun
Whatever you might need
Now it's the time to find it
Just shut your mind out for a while
An island in the sun
She's looking good
The sunwashed streets go down
Now she turns on her charm
The way you like
You make it all the time
And watch the sun go down
Relaxing in the sun
Splash, in the sun-warmed water
The beach's so white it hurts your eyes
You're spending lazy days
You watch the boys go surfing
Just shut your mind out for a while
You watch white brakers crash
On the palm-lined beach
An easy way of life
Life by the ocean
Now she turns on her charm
The way you like it
You make it all the time
And watch the sun go down
The song Beach Boy by Eggstone is an ode to the joys of summer and the beach. The lyrics express the need for a break from the routine and monotony of everyday life, and the desire to seek solace and comfort in the sun and water. The words paint a vivid picture of an idyllic island getaway where the sun-washed streets lead to the ocean, the white sand beach hurts your eyes, where one can go surfing and enjoy lazy days. The refrain of the song, "just shut your mind out for a while," highlights the idea of disconnecting from the demands of modern life and immersing oneself in the peace and tranquility of nature.
The lyrics also emphasize the charm and allure of the beach- how it is the perfect place to unwind and forget one's worries, and how it allows one to soak in the simple pleasures of life. While the song mentions the boys who go surfing, it is written in a gender-neutral way, and the sentiments expressed can be equally enjoyed by all genders.
