Black Hole
Egorythmia Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Some days go on forever,
Last long into the night,
Some days feel like december, although its warm on the inside.
Forget the middle of summer,
I bet you I am alive.
We'll wipe the floors together, nice try.

Save it all,
You have all the answers,
Thankyou for the memories and hope you go with it.
Crying out,
You have all the anger,
Blame it on yourself again, theres nothing wrong with it.
You're a black hole!

Some days are complicated,
Some ways i'll take the blame,
Some days i take it all to, heart again.
This place is made of panic,
They check you every mile,
Thank god you're going out for, a while.

Save it all,
You have all the answers,
Thankyou for the memories and hope you go with it.
Crying out,
You have all the anger,
Blame it on yourself again, theres nothing wrong with it.
You're a black hole!

Nobody noticed what you're talking about,
Nobody's got a clue what you're all about.
Save it all.
Save it all.
(rock)?

Save it all,
You have all the answers,
Thankyou for the memories and hope you go with it.
Crying out,
You have all the anger,
Blame it on yourself again, theres nothing wrong with it.
You're a black hole!

You're a black hole!
You're a black hole!

Overall Meaning

In Egorythmia's "Black Hole," the lyrics explore the idea of the difficulties and pain that can come along with life, and the ways that people cope with these struggles. The song begins by acknowledging the way that certain days can feel endless, stretching out into the night, and how these moments can evoke feelings of cold isolation, no matter what the weather is like. However, the lyrics shift to a more internal perspective, insisting that despite the difficulties one may face, they are still alive and still standing. This turn seems to suggest a hopeful note of resilience, despite the hardships of life.

This idea of resilience is further emphasized in the chorus, which repeatedly insists that the listener has "all the answers" and that they should "save it all," indicating that they possess a deep and powerful inner strength. However, there is also a sense of frustration and anger that runs through the song, as the lyrics ask the listener to blame themselves for failures or shortcomings. The phrase "you're a black hole" seems to encapsulate this feeling of darkness, of being swallowed up by an all-consuming sense of inadequacy and failure.

Overall, "Black Hole" offers a complex portrait of the ways that people deal with struggles and internal demons. Though there are certainly moments of hardship and despair, the lyrics ultimately seem to encourage the listener to find strength within themselves, even in the darkest of times.

@skrelentless

Takes progressive psy trance to a worthy level within the genre. Respect, coming from a guy who is usually tripping in the higher BPM ranges of the genre.

😮 amazing! Music and visuals are harmoniously put together.

@Majamacoco

Superb track throughout. At 01:18 - 01-20 the kick and bass in this track really tests the limits of your perception. Love how the kick bass unit and forward rolling groove is so tight, relentless and locks you in. And yet at the above timecode it changes nuance in isolation when no other sounds are playing gently messing with your perception.. Masterpiece of psy trance. One of my favourites for sure.

Proper trance. Beautiful and energising.
