From a very young age, Ramon sang at family gatherings and parties. His musical creativity was nurtured in a very “bohemian” environment. His father, Manuel de Jesus Galvez, a well-known bachatero from the 60s and 70s, was a great influence to Ramon.
Ramon later moved to New York where he had the opportunity to record his first album. He was able to gain some interest among the local “Nuyorican” community, but his dream was to become a well-known musician in his own country.
His album, Paz En La Cama, helped him achieve his dream. He was an instant star in The Dominican Republic as well as in Panama, Puerto Rico, and St. Martin.
He went on to produce several other hits, including “Un Poquito De Amor,” “Como Te Voy a Ovidar,” “Quiereme,” and “El Osito Dormillon” which brought him even more fame in his home country and all around the world.
“El Gringo” is considered one of the best representatives of “La Sangre nueva de la Bachata”, that is, a new generation of musicians who have brought the genre to the forefront of Latin music.

Piedad
Y no avrà nada q le cure su penar
No hayaras nunca q te adore como yo
Q dolor
The lyrics of "Gringo Muere de Dolor" by El Gringo de la Bachata are about a man who is deeply in love with a woman who doesn't reciprocate his feelings. The man is pleading with the woman to take him out of his suffering, as he cannot handle the pain anymore. He tells her that if she is unable to understand or have compassion for a man who loves her truly, then he will be doomed to suffer without anything to cure his pain. He acknowledges that she will never find someone who loves her like he does, but life always plays tricks on people, and sometimes one can fall for someone with a hard heart.
The song is an emotional plea of a man in love. The lyrics are simple yet powerful, and the music itself intensifies the emotions conveyed by the words. The singer's voice is full of raw emotion, and the passion behind the lyrics is evident. The theme is something that many people can relate to, loving someone who doesn't love them in return. The man is vulnerable, and the woman has all the power in the relationship.
