When I'm rolling through the city, I see thousands of people walking by. Some seem serious while others are smiling, and there are those who are running as if trying to escape. Suddenly, I see children on the corner asking for a taco or bread. Looking at their faces, I can see their needs and the emptiness we feel when you aren't here. The song’s lyrics depicts the struggles of the people living in a city where many are hungry, homeless, and in need of help. The line "Mas obscuro que la negra noche" ("Darker than the blackest night") represents the struggles being faced by people in society. The contrast between those who are well-off and those who are constantly struggling is portrayed in the line "La gente pasa sin voltear a ver a los pobres niños que no tienen que comer" ("People pass without turning around to see the poor children who have nothing to eat"). Mi hermano me enseño a escuchar la musica de El Tri en high school. Nos criamos en Estados Unidos y No me gustaba escuchar musica en español pero a mi hermano si. Y le agradezco eso mucho. Por que las palabras de El tri y sus canciones son mas poderosas que e escuchado en mi vida. Ahora que fallecio mi hermano esta cancion me hace recordar lo grande que era. RIP Miguel
