The lyrics to El Tri's song El Hablador are about a man who describes himself as a responsible, caring, hardworking, and athletic individual without any vices such as alcohol consumption. He boasts of having properties and assets overseas, as well as several houses and is richer than the Pope and former US President George Bush. He believes he is more charming than famous Mexican actors Pedro Infante and Mauricio Garces and a better soccer player than Hugo Sanchez. Additionally, he claims to speak English, German, and French fluently.
Despite all these positive attributes, the man admits he has one small flaw; he talks too much, hence the title of the song, which translates to "The Talkative One". He promises a woman who joins him that he will make her happy and shower her with luxurious items such as jewelry, cars, and a grand mansion, but quickly reminds her of his tendency to exaggerate.
