Mmh
He said
"Enter at your own risk
I am not responsible
For the misery I will bring you
It's just a matter of time
Let me warn you"
I said
"Take your time boy
Let's see what you got boy
I've dealt with worse boy
Let's see who breaks who first
And it won't be my first time, time"
Cry all you need
Just let it bleed
Cry all you need
Just let it bleed
Cry all you need
Just let it bleed
Cry all you need
Just let it bleed (ohh)
I should've taken the first shot
But I thought you were something that you're not
I blame it all on my soft spot
'Cause that's the only way I got caught
But that's not the only reason I'm hurt
I know I should've been way more alert
I cared for you more than anything
And you hurt me more than anything
And that was a heavy thing
You should've known that loving me is a risk
And you should've known that
Breaking my heart is a risk
You broke your own heart
And you played the right part, mmh (ooh)
I said
"Take your time boy
Let's see what you got boy
I've dealt with worse boy
Let's see who breaks who first
And it won't be my first time, time"
Cry all you need
Just let it bleed
Cry all you need
Just let it bleed
Cry all you need
Just let it bleed
Cry all you need
Just let it bleed
In "Risky," Elaine sings about a man who warns her to "Enter at your own risk" because he will bring her misery and ultimately destroy her. However, Elaine is undeterred and gives the man a chance, telling him to take his time and show her what he's got. She acknowledges that love is a risk, and despite being hurt by this man, she knows that crying is a natural and necessary part of the healing process.
The lyrics show Elaine as an empowered woman who is willing to take a chance on love, even though she knows it may end up hurting her. She is not afraid to face the pain and is confident in her ability to handle it. The lyrics also highlight the importance of communication in relationships and how important it is to be upfront about what you can offer.
Overall, "Risky" is a powerful anthem about taking risks in love and being strong enough to handle the consequences.
