The band's fourth album, No Shout, No Calls, was written in Berlin during the 2006 World Cup, recorded in Benton Harbor, Michigan in late 2006, and released in May 2007 worldwide.
In November 2007, the band went on "indefinite hiatus," but announced in February 2011 that they would play several dates in England.
“This summer we’re going to play some festivals, including Field Day in London, and a few gigs. We’re still confirming everything, so will be announcing dates soon. It’s very exciting for us to be playing together again after more than three years, and we’re just sorry that we won’t be able to make it to the US this time. At the moment our plan is just to play live this summer, so we hope to see you!" (Source: Electrelane website)

And it shone
Yeah it shone
All around your head
My friend there's no time
For all our plans
Now you're gone
Sometimes I just want to change
But the people keep saying
You can't give up your own ways
Can you tell me how I could be so blind to
Ever let you go, when I wanted you around?
You know I was just waiting for you to come over
I thought that you knew it
I never told you that I,
I've been looking out for you
I've been thinking about you
I could, I could, I could, I could, I could, I could, I could not tell you
Enter Laughing is a song by the East Sussex-based indie rock band, Electrelane. The song starts with a mystical and dreamy sound, and the lyrics seem to express a feeling of sadness and loss. The opening line "I saw a light and it shone, yeah it shone, all around your head" could be interpreted as the singer seeing their friend's inner light shining brightly. However, the next line "Now you're gone, there's no way back from here" suggests that their friend is no longer around, and the singer is accepting the reality that their friend has passed away.
The lyrics also touch on the struggle with identity and trying to change oneself for the sake of others. The line "Sometimes I just want to change, but the people keep saying you can't give up your own ways" suggests that there is a desire for change, but societal pressures and perception can make it seem impossible to do so. The singer also reflects on their own blindness to their friend's departure and how they wished the friend knew they wanted them around, but was never able to explicitly express this.
Ultimately, the song seems to be a reflection on loss and the desire to connect with others on both a personal and societal level. The dreamy and melancholy tone, combined with thoughtful lyrics, create an introspective and relatable piece of music.
