S.O.S.
Electric Eel Shock Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But I wanna sing this song for you guys.
You may think my words are silly things,
But I think that over.
I can tell you a lie easily.
I can make excuses easily too.
So, I think hard. all right?
I don't wanna escape.
I just want a little boost.
So give me a beer just tonight.
And let's rock till tomorrow.
S.o.s can you hear that?
Yes no yes I don't know.
S.o.s can you hear that?
Yes no yes I don't know.
I always have something on my mind.
But I gotta move every time.
I think things will get better
If I really try and I really try.
Sure, I know.
I want a little boost.
So give me a beer just tonight.
And let's rock till tomorrow.
I send my s.o.s
Can you hear my s.o.s?
The lyrics to Electric Eel Shock's song S.O.S. convey a sense of rebellion and a desire to break away from societal expectations. The singer admits that he may not speak English well or say things that others consider serious or important, but he still wants to sing his song for his audience. He also acknowledges that he has in the past, and could easily in the future, tell lies and make excuses. However, he is determined to be himself and not run away from who he is.
The chorus of the song, "S.O.S can you hear that? Yes no yes I don't know," is a call for help and a question about whether anyone is really listening. The singer seems to feel that he is stuck in his current situation and needs something to give him a boost, whether that be a beer or the opportunity to rock out until tomorrow. He recognizes that he always has things on his mind, but he also knows that he needs to keep moving forward in order to make progress and improve.
Overall, the lyrics to S.O.S convey a sense of restlessness and a desire for change. The singer wants to break free from expectations and be true to himself, even if that means being considered silly or unimportant by others. The song is a call to action, a plea for help, and a reminder that life is short and it's important to make the most of every moment.
