Kally (17) and Tammy (18) met when they were born – they’re sisters, duh! Barely out of nappies, the girls used to jump up and down on their beds miming to Wacko Jacko hits until Kally banged her head on the ceiling – she was on the top bunk! After Tammy reluctantly gave up her ambition to be a petrol pump attendant, they formed Electrovamp.
They’ve been working on their debut album their whole lives. “It’s a concept album which covers a weekend. The storyline runs all the way from meeting a guy on a Friday night right up until the hangover hits on the Sunday!” explains Tammy.
“It’s like the soundtrack to our lives and it’s all about the things that we do,” continues Kally, “we love doing things like going shopping on a Saturday afternoon, getting ready to go out for the evening and go mental. We know other people our age will be able to identify with it.”
The girls recently shot their debut video in their managers house and the extras were invited to appear via the girls MySpace site. The day turned into a raucous affair with £10,000 worth of damage being done to the house that was used.
Drinks Taste Better When They're Free

girl, if you got it you gotta work it
for the thrill of gettin' something for nothin'
Beihnd the bar
he's standin' there so unaware
he's lookin' like a deer in the headlights
Cause when we switch it onit's like oh my god, where did you come from?
I think I'm in love
No we don't mean
to cause you trouble or pop your bubble
just we don't exactly share your intention
(Chorus)
Is it just me
or do the drink taste better when they're free?
Do the girl agree
that the drinks taste better when they're free?
We play for kicks
not just for credit, we're gonna get it
it's all in how we flutter our lashes
We stop the clock
we know how to make the boys rock
the twenties start to flow from their pockets
An how could you resist a smile like this?
you're a slave to it
then we hit and run
It's gonna hurt
It's gonna sting, when we do our thing
admit it, boys, you love when we hustle
(Chorus)
The drinks taste better when they're free
Free, yeah
when they're free, yeah
free, yeah
when they're free, yeah
We know we know what the boys like
We know we know what the boys like
We know we know what the boys like
So come and get it
(Chorus 2x)
C-come and get it
C-come and get it
C-come and get it
C-come and get it
C-come and get it
