Lives on the corner of circumstance and Wellesley
Caught in the middle of someone else's fairy tale
Sucks it in stumbles up, up to her he says
I like you, Do you like me?
Let's get together, have adventures, it could lead to something
I like you, Do you like me?
It could lead to better days
It could lead to better days
Little man, little dreams, little destiny
His life's a plea that won't be heard by you or me
He's not the guy that gets the happy ending fairy tale
He looks up, sees the girl, goes to her he says
I like you (I like you)
Do you like me? (Do you like me?)
Let's get together have adventures it could lead to something
I like you (I like you)
Do you like me? (Do you like me?)
Let's get together, have adventures
It could lead to better days
We could lead to better days
It could lead to better days
We could lead to better days
I've been out in the desert
For much too long
Holding hands with the devil
It's a sad sad song
I'm at the end of my courage
And so far gone
So say goodbye to the darkness
So long
I like you (I like you)
And you like me (You like me)
Lets have adventures, it could lead to something
I like you (I like you)
And you like me (You like me)
Lets have adventures, it could lead to something, hoping it will lead to better days
It could lead to better days
We could lead to better days
It could lead to better days
Help me out, Help me out, Help me out
Hey hey
The song "Better Days" by Elemeno P tells the story of a man who feels stuck in life, living on the corner of circumstance and Wellesley with no plan or strategy. He sees himself as caught in someone else's fairy tale and feels he's not the guy who gets the happy ending. Despite this, he has a little dream and destiny and wants to take a chance on a girl he sees, asking her if she likes him and if they could have adventures together that could lead to something. He hopes that this could lead to better days for him and for them both.
The chorus repeats the lyrics "I like you, Do you like me? Let's get together, have adventures, it could lead to something. It could lead to better days" emphasizing the theme of taking a leap of faith and pursuing something more out of life. The bridge talks about the singer's feeling of being stuck in the darkness, but looking for a way out and hoping that this relationship can be that light for him.
Overall, the song paints a picture of a man who feels lost and stuck, but sees the potential for better days if he can just take a chance on love and adventure. It's an uplifting message about not giving up and taking risks to pursue happiness.
