(Sebastián Irigo)
No hay fronteras en las piernas
Ni hay rivales en la sangre.
Caminando para perfumar.
El color de los sentidos.
La elegante despedida del sol,
Me despierta en algún sueño
Es vida, me puedo olvidar
De saber todo, de imaginar algo.
Uh, uh, uh, subo al árbol
Uh, uh, uh, verde y alto
Uh, uh, uh, subo al árbol.
No se escriben las palabras,
Yo las leo en el agua.
Si se mojan aprenden a nadar.
El color de tus latidos.
La preciosa bienvenida al sol,
Me despierta en otro sueño
Y tu boca me quiere llevar.
The song "Vida" by Elena Roger, composed by Sebastián Irigo, is a beautiful and poetic expression of life's many intricacies. The first two lines, "No hay fronteras en las piernas, ni hay rivales en la sangre" can be interpreted in several ways. This could imply that there are no physical barriers to what one can accomplish in life and that we are all equal in blood, regardless of race or class. The next line, "Caminando para perfumar," suggests that walking is a way to spread a beautiful scent, perhaps to brighten someone's day or to make the world a better place. The next two lines, "El color de los sentidos. La elegante despedida del sol," refer to nature and the beauty that can be found in everyday experiences, especially at sunset.
The lines "Me despierta en algún sueño y tu boca me quiere llevar" can be interpreted in different ways. It could mean that the journey of life is like a dream, and that the kiss of love or the promise of a new beginning propels us forward. The chorus "Es vida, me puedo olvidar/De saber todo, de imaginar algo," is a call to live life to the fullest, to let go of the need to control everything or to imagine what could be, and to simply be present in the moment. The lines "Uh, uh, uh, subo al árbol/ Uh, uh, uh, verde y alto/ Uh, uh, uh, subo al árbol" signify the freedom and joy of climbing a tree and taking in the beauty of the world from a different perspective. The song reminds us to appreciate the simple things in life, to take risks, and to make the most of what we have.
