i don’t know what it is about this specific video but it helps me fall asleep when i don’t think i’ll be able to.

the past few months have been hell for me. my grandpa has cancer and just recently had surgery for it again, the anniversary of losing one of my friends in high school just passed, the birthday of a deceased family member was a few weeks ago, and another death anniversary is coming up.

some days i can’t find the energy in me to care. to get out of bed. to eat. to smile. but i can’t sleep either.

I have had depression, CPTSD and insomnia for as long as I can remember. I am here to say I have completely recovered from my insomnia after at least 17 years of it, and I’m recovering from CPTSD. I feel for you as both myself and my 15 year old son are navigating this path also.

His carers continually block our communication and my family happily sided with them and now 10 years later it is happening again, but this time I am fighting back. I was told by my family not to fight it legally and I listened to them. I am so angry at myself for not listening to myself and I am truly concerned about my son's wellbeing and his future.

I am terrified that by standing up for myself, it will only drive them away further when from the moment I fell pregnant, I began trying to rebuild a connection with my parents only for it to completely back fire.

The feeling of powerlessness, wanting to take their pain away, wanting to understand them as much as possible, yet knowing you can only scratch the surface of their struggle. Thankfully, kids are resilient, all we can do is support them, be ready to listen when they are ready to talk & show that unconditional love that only a parent can offer. This is so good to know that I’m not the only one who has insomnia. I didn’t realize how many people suffer from this. I can’t even tell you how long it’s been since I’ve slept more than 1.5 hrs. I doze off only to be right back up in 15 minutes. This goes on every night. Sometimes I cry because my body is tired. It’s definitely taking a toll on me. Discovered this while my mom is here in the hospital. She suffers from Parkinson’s and Dementia, and I from insomnia. It really has helped us both get quality sleep throughout the night and even after those 3:30am blood withdrawals and vitals checks. A few months ago I had Bell’s palsy after my doctor told me it was stress induced I started listening to this to stop me from overthinking at night. I recovered in 2 weeks. I really feel for the people who have had it for months and years. My left side of my face was paralyzed, I could not even blink my left eye. I woke up around 2:00 a.m and could not go back to sleep. Decided to search YT for some Insomnia music and I found this channel. Read some of the beautiful comments and I fell back asleep😴

After I have been struggling with my insomnia issues because of the stress of my consecutive failures in college and had an epilepsy diagnosis 2 years ago which changed my life badly but everything goes better at the moment. Never give up your hope in recovery in anything, MENTAL HEALTH comes first friends! After I saw these beautiful comments I realized again the power of motivation as a community like you guys are the special ones, once a month I still go to see my psychiatrist but these comment under the video felt something special that never I had with doctors. I wish and hope everyone have a wonderful year. I have spent many months in the hospitals due to the epilepsy, and in my floor there were many people struggling with hard drugs, addictions, life problems; I have seen with my eyes that in 6 months, those people including myself recovered slowly. I promise if you take care yourself with accepting your own issues, there is nothing you can't beat. Stay healthy and have a good night, and thank you for the people who participated in the comments. I'm a teenager.. And i have troubles in sleeping.. I can't fall asleep easily i am a light sleeper... Sometimes it took me 3-4hours to fall asleep and yesterday i didn't sleep all the night and still somehow i managed to get up from the bed though my body was utterly exhausted but still i am grinding... I used to have insomnia but i managed to cure my insomnia by doing meditation, self care activities but it came back... Even i can't fall asleep when my body is tired... Idk what have i done in my life that i have to bear this much pain and discomfort but i know one day i will be fine..... I have gone through so many restless nights but still i didn't give up.. I’m a Covid Longhauler of 2 years. One of the worst parts about Post Covid Syndrome is that you are simultaneously so exhausted 24/7 that at times just walking around the house or yard completely wears you out completely, but then you also deal with chronic insomnia too. It’s hell. I discovered this when I found that while meditation right before bed relaxed me, it didn’t help me fall asleep. Sleep aids, especially Melatonin, don’t work well either. When I tried listening to this session the first time I almost immediately felt myself slipping deeper and deeper into a super relaxed state. Within 10 minutes I was off to LaLa Land. When I awoke in the morning I felt more energized and focused than I have in a long time. Thank you so much for helping me remember what it feels like to have a full and satisfying night’s rest.🥱😴

Whoever is reading this, I know things are hard right now but it will get better. I’m keeping all of you in my thoughts tonight, especially those dealing with anxiety. I always like to think of the troubles in our mind sort of like an airplane. A plane can experience a lot of turbulence in the air, and this can frighten us, especially those of not used to flying. But always remember that soothing voice you hear when the pilot comes on and tells you that the plane is making its descent. Think of the calm you feel when the plane lands smoothly and you step out in a warmer climate. Think of the people that greet you and hug you once you’ve landed safely. I want you to close your eyes and land into a nice peaceful sleep. No more scrolling friend. It’s time for a peaceful descent 🙏🏿😴❤️
