1) Eli is a hiphop Emcee and Songwriter based in Makati City, Philippines aiming to create projects that will have a permanent impact on music as a whole shying away from the viral appeal that most artists go for in the age of information.

Co founding the now collective, "Longhaul Global Comms." along with Indio Lahingbilad in 2019, he boasts a long track record of DIY touring with the likes of Aklas and Go Smoke Mary all around the Philippine Archipelago bringing along his songs coming from his "I Have no Equipment Cause I'm Poor: A compilation of Eclectic Chatter" tape that realeased in the last days of 2018.

Now coming out with a collaborative effort with Six the Northstar called "Optics", he seeks to push the limits of the content of hiphop projects in the Philippines by bringing a more ambitious approach to creating and structuring albums that re-invent the standards of single releases, opting the production of more conceptual works.

2) Berlin-based ELI has released his latest track “Ghosts” with an accompanying video and it is exactly what the doctor ordered. An upbeat track with relatable lyrics. With a massive 70,000,000 collective streams on all platforms for his track “Change Your Mind”, this 22-year-old singer, songwriter has already set the German pop music scene ablaze. Speaking of the new track, ELI says “‘Ghosts’ is about that moment after a breakup when you feel incredibly lonely, yet, at the same time, you have a feeling that this person you parted ways with is still haunting you. Like a ghost by your side, that doesn’t let go”.

Born into a showbiz family, ELI was always sure that he wanted to make music, it just took him time to find his niche. Having learnt everything from the drums to the violin, it wasn’t until he found the guitar that his passion truly emerged. This young popstar has been splitting his time between L.A. and Germany, writing new music and playing top festivals. ELI is a Gothic Metal act fronted by Italian singer Eliza Pezzuto. The debut album "Darkness Will Fall" is to be released by Lion Music on December 12, 2008. The album was produced, mixed, arranged and composed by Lars Eric Mattsson, who also plays all guitars, bass and keyboards on the album. Drums are performed by Eddie Sledgehammer while strings and woodwinds are performed by the Astral Orchestra.

Overall Meaning

In the song "Brother," the singer is expressing a deep concern for their brother who seems to be carrying a burden. The opening lines suggest that the brother is overwhelmed with responsibility as he carries a lot on his shoulders. The singer can tell that his brother is down because he can see it in his walk. The singer is at a loss as he tries to find the right words to comfort his brother but can't seem to find them. He has said them before, but his brother isn't listening anymore.
