Fed on a sumptuous and varied diet of Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Eric Clapton and Joni Mitchell (to name a fractured few) by her music fanatic parents, Elissa began teaching herself piano at age six. She wrote her first song at ten.

Along the way, she has continued absorbing the genius of Jeff Buckley, John Mayer and others. She now stands on the threshold of a stellar career, having evolved into a hot new talent on the singer songwriter scene. Having played all of the notorious London Venues (Notably, The Bedford,Sound, Regal Rooms, Cobden Club, Notting Hill Arts Centre and the Late ASTORIA) and then relocating to Brighton to complete a degree in English Literature, Elissa Took to Brighton music scene by storm quickly earning herself a reputation as,
'That rare degree of raw talent who can create a pin-drop silence in a noisy packed pub of punters who simply can't resist 'that' voice, knowing they are present in the making of a star'.
Today, Elissa continues to write songs that transport us to that wondrous place you've never been before but where your soul feels at home. In an age of throwaway songwriting, Elissa's classic and stirring melodies evoke ageless values of craftsmanship. Into the Light
Elissa Franceschi Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Say I gotta make a change, break away and seize the day coz life is happening
And I don’t know the direction that I should follow this way, that way I could go anyway it’s a kind of reinvention once you’ve been hollowed
Break a mould, fill a hole, fake a soul till I get there
Come into the light I’ll hold you’re hand till I feel alright.
You gotta reinvent yourself you gotta realign yourself with the world you gotta reinvent yourself you gotta realign yourself with the world I’m still learning.
And I don’t know the direction that I should follow this way, that way I could go anyway it’s a kind of reinvention once you’ve been hollowed
Break a mould, fill a hole, fake a soul till I get there
Come into the light I’ll hold you’re hand till I feel alright.
You gotta reinvent yourself you gotta realign yourself with the world you gotta reinvent yourself you gotta realign yourself with the world I’m still learning
Elissa Franceschi's song "Into the Light" is a deep and thought-provoking piece that touches on the themes of change, reinvention, and self-discovery. The lyrics speak of little voices that come to the singer in the middle of her dreams, urging her to make a change and break away from her current life. She feels lost and directionless, unsure of which path to take, but knows that she needs to find a way to fill the emptiness she feels inside. She talks about the need to break the mould, fill the hole, and fake a soul until she finds her way and reinvents herself.
The chorus of the song is about finding hope and support in others as she takes this journey towards self-discovery. Through the metaphor of light, she invites the listener to come into the light and hold her hand until she feels alright. The lyrics also acknowledge the difficulty of the process, as she talks about still learning and realigning herself with the world.
The song's message is one that many can relate to - the feeling of being lost, directionless, and in need of a change. Through her lyrics, Elissa Franceschi offers a reminder that it's never too late to reinvent yourself and find your place in the world.
