00000 Million
Ella Vos Lyrics

Who knows how many poses that I've been in?
But then the main closest, hark! It gives meaning mine
I cannot really post this, I feel the signs
I worry about rain and I worry about lightning
But I watched them off to the light of the morning
Marking the slope, slung low in the highlands
If it′s harming, harming, harming, I let it in
Oh, the old motives out to be leading life
So, comes the opponents, deemed to strive
A word about Gnosis: it ain't gonna buy the groceries
Or middle-out locusts, or weigh to find
I hurry 'bout shame and I worry ′bout a worn path
And I wander off, just to come back home
Turning to waltz, hold high in the lowlands
′Cause the days have no numbers
So, I can depose this, partial to the bleeding vines
Suppose you can't hold shit, how high I′ve been
What a river don't know is to climb out and heed a line
To slow among roses or stay behind
I′ve been to that grove
Where no matter the source is
And I walked it off, how long I'd last
Sore-ring to cope, whole band on the canyon
When the days have no numbers
Well, if it harms me, it harms me, it harms me, I′ll let it in
The lyrics of Ella Vos's song "00000 Million" convey a sense of introspection and self-awareness. The first lines suggest a feeling of being swept away by external forces, possibly referring to the challenges and changes one faces in life. The repeated phrase "I worry about" following that may suggest a tendency towards anxiety and overthinking. However, the song then takes on a more optimistic tone, with the recognition that even in difficult or uncertain times, there are signs that point towards meaning and purpose. The repetition of the phrase "the days have no numbers" can be interpreted as a reminder to live in the present and not be too consumed by time and its limitations.
The second verse introduces the idea of opposing forces, perhaps referring to the struggle between positive and negative impulses or the balance between personal desires and societal expectations. The line "a word about Gnosis" could be interpreted as a reference to seeking higher knowledge or spiritual enlightenment, but recognizing that this alone cannot sustain one's physical and practical needs. The phrase "middle-out locusts" is more enigmatic but could suggest the idea of being overwhelmed by a swarm of demands or expectations.
The final verse describes a journey to a grove where one may confront their own limitations and learn to cope with them. The line "what a river don't know is to climb out and heed a line" suggests the importance of taking action and making deliberate choices, rather than simply being swept away by life's currents. Overall, the lyrics of "00000 Million" convey a sense of grappling with uncertainty and searching for meaning, but ultimately finding hope and resilience in the face of adversity.

Must've been forces, that took me on them wild courses
Unknown factors led me down unpredictable paths
Who knows how many poses that I've been in?
I've been through too many experiences to count
But then the main closest, hark! It gives meaning mine
But the most important thing is close by and gives my life purpose
I cannot really post this, I feel the signs
I can't express this feeling, but I know it's there
I worry about rain and I worry about lightning
I have anxiety about things I can't control
But I watched them off to the light of the morning
But I watch them disappear in the light of day
Marking the slope, slung low in the highlands
Walking through life's ups and downs
Where the days have no numbers
Where life is unpredictable and unstructured
If it's harming, harming, harming, I let it in
I accept the pain and suffering because it's part of life
Oh, the old motives out to be leading life
The outdated values dictating how to live
So, comes the opponents, deemed to strive
Challenges arise that demand persistence and strength
A word about Gnosis: it ain't gonna buy the groceries
Spiritual exploration won't solve practical problems
Or middle-out locusts, or weigh to find
Or fix everything without putting in the work
I hurry 'bout shame and I worry 'bout a worn path
I feel anxious about my past mistakes
And I wander off, just to come back home
I sometimes need to distance myself to find clarity
Turning to waltz, hold high in the lowlands
I find joy in simple things, even during difficult times
'Cause the days have no numbers
Because life is unpredictable and unstructured
So, I can depose this, partial to the bleeding vines
I can let go of the pain, drawn to nature's beauty
Suppose you can't hold shit, how high I've been
You can't imagine the experiences I've been through
What a river don't know is to climb out and heed a line
Sometimes you need to step back and reflect to move forward
To slow among roses or stay behind
To take time to appreciate beauty or to move on
I've been to that grove
I've been through tough times before
Where no matter the source is
Where pain can come from anywhere
And I walked it off, how long I'd last
I persevered and made it through
Sore-ring to cope, whole band on the canyon
Struggling to stay afloat, surrounded by difficulties
When the days have no numbers
In a time of unpredictability and chaos
Well, if it harms me, it harms me, it harms me, I'll let it in
If I'm hurting, I won't suppress it - I'll allow myself to feel it

I wonder if they can play this at my funeral...
So beautiful, it’s just such a beautiful song about life, coming to terms with the unknown, and ultimately accepting it all. Makes me cry sometimes, Vernon really put his whole heart into this album, particularly this song. This cover is wonderful, really captures that personal element. Thank you!
